LN52A530 right side with multicolored vertical lines

    Hi guys,

I would like to have your opinion on what am I looking at here.

Here is what I tried so far, in none of the below the situations the lines change, at first they look like they are fixed, however after each power cycle they seem to change slightly:

    - slightly bending the screen / pressing on tab bond connections
    - verified flat cable from t-con
    - heating / cooling chips on tab bond cables, t-con board, mainboard

The lines are on top of everything (menu, picture)

    Thanks :-)

check the components on the edge board especially at the "boundary" where you see one tab connection is "good" and the one to the "left" (based on photo) is bad along with all there after. Possibly a bad surface mount capacitor or resistance or broken track.

Thanks, unfortunately none of the above. What bugs me is whatever I do the lines don't change while the TV is on but after a power cycle they almost always change slightly, different color, different position...

        Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
        by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

        by gpo23
        Hello,

        i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

        Thank you for your help

1/3rd of screen black with occasional vertical lines - repair attempt for learning! - Kogan KALED58RT9220SVA
        by Firentiosi
Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc). I really enjoying fixing things and learning new stuff so took up a free 58" LED TV and have been googling and watching Youtube videos to see if I can fix this! I am happy to go down to individual component replacement/strip replacement etc - it's all in the name of learning.

The issues are as follows: the...

vizio e65 e3 LED tv color vertical lines center tv only
        by viking509
I recently replaced the led backlights with LB65041 LED Backlight Strips and after putting it back together the backlights work but there are only colored vertical lines only in the center of the tv. I can see the Netflix logo (jumbled) after a minute or less the screen went dark. When I turned it on again the lines were back. Then I replaced the t-con board but the same vertical lines in the picture. My question is what is my next step? Could it be a source tab bond issue? A buffer board issue? Could I have loosened a connection to the panel when replacing the backlights? Should I replace the...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
        by polaro
        Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...
