    led issues

I purchased an LG 50ln5100 several months ago and it worked great. Then about 5 weeks ago it went out. I discovered the leds burned out so I purchased new ones. Then about 2 weeks went by and they burned out. After further inspection, I realize that only the right side burned out. I also check my old ones and the same thing, only right side burned out. So 6 strips burned out that are connected to the power strip. All the left ones work fine. I can't find any info on this particular problem. Any help would be great before spend anymore money on this. This makes no sense to me.

    Thanks a million

    Re: led issues

It looks like these LG sets are a lemon and eat LED's.
Have you upgraded the set's firmware? This site advises it for LG's:
" If you are replacing LEDs in an LG TV, it is recommended that you install the latest TV software after installation to minimize the risk of repeat LED failure. On Smart TV models, please update software from the Setup menu. For non-Smart TV models, please visit www.LG.com/us/support/tvs for instructions regarding your model. "

Thanks, I'll try that if I can figure out how, I gotta little Forrest Gump in me. It's just strange to me why only one side burns out.
      Thanks again

You should also turn down the backlights (NOT Brightness) level to as low as possible firmware update or not.

Thanks, I always do that. Still the one side burn out is strange. It's the side that connects to the power strip. One would think the whole strip would burn out or at a few on the left, they connect together
