    Samsung ps50q97hd horizontal black lines

    Hi all,

Been fixing this Samsung and feel so close to the end now, it presented with the second buffer down on the top board as being blown and some FETs on the y main short, pretty much the common failure mode it sounds like.

I've repaired the Y main and replaced the blown buffer, i now have a picture but two horizontal lines across the screen, my question is, is there an easy way to know if it's just an unsoldered pin on my replacement buffer or if it's another buffer with issues, or is it the panel.

    Cheers guys

Reseat the Ybuffer cables carefully. The ones in line with the screen lines,
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Could be the Ymain still faulty loading the buffer down, or maybe your pins are not soldered enough ?

Look carefully does it look like the buffer has replaced IC'S
        on it?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

It is replaced ic no doubt. take a popsicle stick and apply pressure to pins see if it improves.

I can see the pins are slightly misaligned and looks like bottom left corner pins look like it could be, not soldiered..

That's a pin connection for sure then. Check your soldering

Thank you all, it was a pin connection. I measured between each connector and ground for the diode value and found some pins were O/C. Re-soldered those pins and it was all great.

                    by Ihandyrepair
                    Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

                    Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
                    by Rubenlily
                    Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
