Two LG TVs having issues. 50pc5d and 42pt350.

I'm not really sure where to start on the 50pc5d. The TV in its current state shows no power is being received at all. When plugged in and the power button is pressed there is no feedback in any way. It was a TV used for karaoke in a bar so there is also no telling how much damage there is from smoke either.

The second TV just went out today. From the research I have already done it sounds as if there is either a power supply issue or an issue with the y sus or z sus. The current status on this TV is that it clicks on, makes a buzzing sound, and the light turns on for a moment before fading out. After that happens it repeats the buzzing and goes back into standby.

I am going to try to get pictures soon, but would like an idea as to where I should start with the larger tv.

    Check fuses, is first.

Good pictures of boards, back of tv with cover off. Voltages present on connector from powerboard to mainboard
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

You need to do some research on how to test them and provide us with voltage information etc first. PC1D prolly bad caps on psu, 42PT350 prolly cold solder joint on Zsus and Ysus erc coils resolder both.

Alright sorry for the slow reply guys. Our multimeter was"misplaced" as I was told so I had to go out and get a new one today. One of the two fuses I found on the power supply seems to be blown. The caps all look fine from what I can tell. I have been trying to check find anything burnt out as well but with how bad it looks from being in the bar it is hard to tell. So I will try replacing this fuse then I will getry back to you guys on the 50pc5d. I will also add a photo of the ps board when I get the picture onto a computer.

The 50 is known to eat primary supply mosfets and blow the fuse. How do the solder contacts look on the back of the power board
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

The solders look fine but I can get a picture of that as well so someone with a more trained eye can take a look at it.

Alright here is my photoset covering all of the boards getting as good of pictures as I can with what is at my disposal. I can attempt to retake some of the pictures if needed.

Ok I have pictures of the 42pt350 transferring now. I will upload them when I get a chance. So far I have tested the power supply with the zsus unplugged from it and it would click just like normal. When I plugged the zsus back up to it, and unplugged the y sus from the zsus I got the same result as I normally got before opening the back as the all.

So that helps but not alot at all, remove Zsus on 42" and see if it has cold solder joints.

Board removed, I don't really see anything that looks cracked in the soldering. Some of it looks a bit bubbly around the edges but it still seems like the solders should be fine.

Very much the same with the y sus. The only ones that stand out as potentially cold joints are the solders for the heatsinks

Here are two pictures for a bit better clarity since it is a relatively big board.

Welp, I feel kind of blind for not seeing it before, but I decided to try checking the vs and va on the TV as per suggested in an alternate thread. When I plugged my tv in I heard a very light buzzing that I apparently just didn't pick up on previously. I didn't get a chance to see what the voltages were since I came straight here after seeing the resistors at the top look burned. I checked the picture I posted and sure enough the board is blackened in the picture too. I just apparently straight up missed it. So does that mean something on the power supply is shorted out?

Sorry about how dark some of the pictures have been. My lighting kind of sucks. I just took some of the bottom of the power supply and of the area you were questioning. I don't see any damage in the area you pointed out, the only damage I have found myself have been on the power supply. I will upload those pictures when I get them transferred

The PSU works, but shortly after powering on (either in the G5, or by shorting the power-on pin to ground) it begins buzzing loudly. It also makes the LED lights connected to the same circuit flicker. It's definitely a buzzing, not a high pitched whine.

The buzzing seems to come from the high voltage side of the board, perhaps from the white relay. Could the relay be bad, or could the 5V supply be bad enough that it's unable to keep the relay on? Any pointers to help isolate the issue? Thanks!

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH - Ideapad 3 well known solder joint issues
                                          by Nagyesz
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH, which has started exhibiting the well-known issues of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3.

All stress tests run perfectly, and there are no performance issues. However, the solder joints are almost certainly starting to fail. If the top two screws on the back are not screwed in, moving the screen results in a BSOD or, in some cases, a slight artifact and freeze. This is a 2023 notebook..

How can I extend its lifespan? Could reflow help?

It has ryzen 5 5500h, rtx 2050, no soldered ram.

                                          Example of the artifacts:

Hey I am having Asus Rog strix g15 g513ih hn0865 and it's having display issues while running on igpu. Works fine when I open any game or whatsapp windows application. The issues are :
                                          Black screen, freeze
The weird thing is that when as long as the laptop is running on igpu the problem keeps happening. But as soon as I open any game or whatsapp windows application, the laptop works completely fine.
When the screen freeze or black screen I used to move the display lid up and down and it usually works like that.
So can anyone tell me what would be the possible cause?...

Hello, This is my first post so please forgive me if I miss out some vital info.
I have a problem with my HP1955L monitor from 2005.
The first thing to say is that it is still basically working, ie the picture is fine.
However it makes an electrical buzzing sound. I know all monitors make some some of hum, but this is louder and more of a buzz.
The volume of the noise seems to be dependent on how hard the monitor is working; switched on with a blank screen -> no sound; small dialog (like OSD only) -> minor buzzing; full screen picture -> loud buzzing.
                                          ...
