Re: Two LG TVs having issues. 50pc5d and 42pt350.
Sorry about how dark some of the pictures have been. My lighting kind of sucks. I just took some of the bottom of the power supply and of the area you were questioning. I don't see any damage in the area you pointed out, the only damage I have found myself have been on the power supply. I will upload those pictures when I get them transferred

Re: Two LG TVs having issues. 50pc5d and 42pt350.
Welp, I feel kind of blind for not seeing it before, but I decided to try checking the vs and va on the TV as per suggested in an alternate thread. When I plugged my tv in I heard a very light buzzing that I apparently just didn't pick up on previously. I didn't get a chance to see what the voltages were since I came straight here after seeing the resistors at the top look burned. I checked the picture I posted and sure enough the board is blackened in the picture too. I just apparently straight up missed it. So does that mean something...Last edited by Lavitz; 03-26-2017, 04:42 PM.

Re: Two LG TVs having issues. 50pc5d and 42pt350.
Ok I have pictures of the 42pt350 transferring now. I will upload them when I get a chance. So far I have tested the power supply with the zsus unplugged from it and it would click just like normal. When I plugged the zsus back up to it, and unplugged the y sus from the zsus I got the same result as I normally got before opening the back as the all.

Re: Two LG TVs having issues. 50pc5d and 42pt350.
Alright sorry for the slow reply guys. Our multimeter was"misplaced" as I was told so I had to go out and get a new one today. One of the two fuses I found on the power supply seems to be blown. The caps all look fine from what I can tell. I have been trying to check find anything burnt out as well but with how bad it looks from being in the bar it is hard to tell. So I will try replacing this fuse then I will getry back to you guys on the 50pc5d. I will also add a photo of the ps board when I get the picture onto a co...

Two LG TVs having issues. 50pc5d and 42pt350.
I'm not really sure where to start on the 50pc5d. The TV in its current state shows no power is being received at all. When plugged in and the power button is pressed there is no feedback in any way. It was a TV used for karaoke in a bar so there is also no telling how much damage there is from smoke either.
The second TV just went out today. From the research I have already done it sounds as if there is either a power supply issue or an issue with the y sus or z sus. The current status on this TV is that it clicks on, makes a buzzing sound, and the light turns on for a moment...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi everyone, I'm Brett. I am mostly here to get some assistance in fixing a TV or couple of TVs.
The one I have been using as a monitor for a while just went out and we have another one that is dead in the water and I would like to fix one or both depending on the difficulty of it.
I look forward to learning at least a few things from you folks.
