    Tough Dog Vizio E551VA

    Tough Dog Vizio E551VA LTLPKZAM : Main Board CBPFTXBCB2K111 US $173.99, Out of Stock, nobody has this PCB.(Made by LG)

    All I need is E551VA firmware to fix back and white problem, Any help?

    Yes it is U405 H27UAG8T2MTR 16Gb (2048M x 8bit) NAND Flash, It took 3 hours to program or read it contents(dump). Same IC is used in vizio M470nv or M550nv. Why so big .....they put internet APPs (....Netflix..) inside of it. which can put 8 movies inside. Isn't that nice when you open TV already has 8 movies built in, but which 8 movies will be ?

    Can someone helps me do this (I did that): Send an Email to VIZIO Support or Call a VIZIO Support Agent.

    Mmmm Vizio response is fast. (15 minutes)............How can they upload 16G firmware to me, let's see. ..... .

      "Does the Black and white effect other devices connected to the TV?" All the devices connected to this TV, the image is become black and white. One TV shop owner said to me " it is the firmware problem, and the PCB is not available anywhere in US. " I am a TV repair shop owner try to assist this angry helpless customer wins back his confidence in Vizio. Any information you can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

        I tested with antenna ATSC digital broadcast TV (ex: PBS 8.1......) and HDMI input, TV shows Black & White picture.

          I apologize to hear you are having difficulties with your VIZIO TV. Here at VIZIO we offer best in class technical support. I would recommend performing a power cycle on your TV. Please follow the steps in this order:

          1- Power off the TV
          2- Unplug the TV from the outlet
          3- Press and hold in the power button on the TV for 30 seconds (while it is unplugged from the wall)
          4- Release the power button
          5- Plug in the TV
          6- Power the TV back on

          Your Vizio technical support team is the BEST.

          I tested with this TV input.

          TV : B &W
          AV : B &W
          Comp : B &W
          HDMI 1 : B &W With computer HDMI output TV picture is color
          HDMI 2 : B &W With computer HDMI output TV picture is color
          HDMI 3 : B &W With computer HDMI output TV picture is color
          HDMI 4 : B &W With computer HDMI output TV picture is color
          RGB : Color

          Why with Laptop HDMI and HD15 RGB output TV works with color?

                Hello,

                I would recommend a factory reset on the TV.

                To do this, please follow the steps below:

                Go to the main menu, select help. Select Clear memory, the parental passcode is 0000. Reset the TV back to its factory defaults.

                Another question, when you were connecting into the other inputs, were you using the same device on all connections?

                I use DVD as an input, all the inputs are B&W, but if I use Laptop for HDMI & HD15 as inputs are color.

                  Hello, I have no time to keep on doing it back and forward email to Vizio. I need to pay my rent.

                  The U401 SoC IC, working temperature is at 56'C, almost untouchable. SoC IC partially damaged. This is the best I can guess!

                  I know Vizio can't admit that which might get sued. We always be put under the cloud. That's why we need Badcaps.net.

                  I might just bail it out. They still can use as a computer monitor(pic1). But i will study more on this kinda of LG chassis.

                    If only one device is being effected then this is not going to be an issue with the TV, if other devices are working and have color then it will be an issue with the device itself. If multiple different devices are having the issue with different types of connections then we can verify that it is an issue with the TV and the TV will need to be repaired. Unfortunately with it out of warranty then it is not going to be covered by Vizio.

                    VIZIO has a partner company who is certified to perform repairs on VIZIO TV's. You can reach them at ITI - 888-248-2708. Their hours are Monday through Friday 8am - 8pm.

                    If an extended service plan was added then they would also be able to further assist you as well.

                        Thank you very much! The customer can watch color TV with computer, has picked up the TV. This were very common problems over this mode of TVs, For $140 I could not find the board.

                            It is A rule of thumb If I saw the SoCs with metal casing made around 2010 - 2014, All have over heat problem and U Can't Touch This.

                                I am very familiar with broadcom, and the particular issue for those few years. However we have repaired many different models the past few years with these chips.
