Re: JO47BAIRD power problem
can you try and take a picture where is shows the whole power supply (what is the board number printed on the psu) and maybe a good picture of the underside of the psu
please remember we have not got these boards in front of us so we go of the pictures you provide us so they need too be clear, so when we zoom in on them we can see the parts plus board numbers etc.Last edited by vinceroger69; 03-09-2017, 07:07 AM.Comment

Re: JO47BAIRD power problem
If you can post pictures of the top and bottom of the power supply board in better lighting please.
Edit
You could use a hair dryer and see if heating up any part of the power supply / mainboard shuts down the TV quicker.Last edited by dick_barton; 03-09-2017, 07:12 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: JO47BAIRD power problem
pictures are a little better but double click on one of your picrures you have uploaded and zoom in you can then see we still cant see much at all so maybe try a diffrent camera if you have one or try diffrent camera modes ie macro etc.Comment

Re: JO47BAIRD power problem
ok for now as per post 7 try heating one board up at a time and see if you can make the fault appear quicker as it will narrow down the faulty board.Try not too overheat the boards too much though, as capacitors can explode if you get them too hot.Comment

Re: JO47BAIRD power problem

Re: JO47BAIRD power problem
Ive just connected it to the sky box and left the TV open I have a laser temp gauge my thinking is I'll run the TV until it goes off again and I'd be able to accurately check the temps of the boards does any of you know what temp they should safely be running at before they cut off the TV or do you think doing it this way wouldn't help at all. And thank you for your help its very appreciatedComment

Re: JO47BAIRD power problem
worth a try i guess note the readings on the left and right invertor boards for now there are 2 transformers on each maybe one of those is overheating and causing issues? not sure of what temps should be just see for now if any parts get hot when fault happensComment

by theone111I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.
In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.- Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again. - Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.

by DuranitronWhen I reflash again the bios of hoaca388 the unit powers on and the unit lives!!! Hooray!! All voltage in the coil 3.3v, 5v and 6.7v indicate charging are all present. including the cpu voltage , EEPROM and GPU voltage the unit is now alive, normal screen booting to windows and log in screen until I power it off. Then the unit never goes on even when pressing the power button in the keyboard.. Voltage reading 19v main , 3.3v VCC in IT8225E-128 and EEPROM VCC 0 volt and the charging voltage 0 volt.
Try to trace the power switch button goin to the power switch IC PU8803 (APL3533AQBI-TRG)... -
by EazyBoneHello, trying to fix C9 55 inch. I have pulled the back and all looks completely normal with nothing burnt so far. This is first time attempting to fix a tv so any help is appreciated.
Problem. I hit power button, red light on TV turns off and tries to turn on, no picture shows up and then shuts off. This occurred after house power turned on and off, not from a storm.
I have tested the power going from power supply to main board, all 12v and 20 volt readings are proper when I hit power button.
The power supply to t con is different story.

by Dr.dI have a lenovo ideapad 5 14itl05, board LA-K321P, That will only power up on Battery only, or with battery disconnected and power adapter only. If battery is connected and usb-c power plug connected. It only works on battery and will not charge. I can however force it to charge by connecting the battery from a disconnected state while the power USB c plug is powering the laptop.
Additionally....to add to this strange situation. The usb-c power plug ONLY works to power the laptop on one side when inserted into the boards power usb c plug. If you rotate it 180 degrees, the board gets... -
by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... - Loading...
