    Affinity SLE2039 - Won't Power On

Picked up this 39" LED TV that won't power on. There IS power all over the hot side of the power board. Nothing on the cold side anywhere. There was a burn mark on the back side of the power board right in the middle of the hot side. Took a pic of that and then cleaned up the board and took another.

Edit: Just noticed that the backside pics of the power board are a little dark on the left side. I can retake them if needed.

Did it happen when you shorted J21 checking main cap or was it already like that? Glare but looks like resistors?
What is voltage across main cap.

I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

R67A & R68 look like two burnt out smd resistors.
And whatever this component is, appears to have lost a led in the cleaning up process as well as not looking that good.

I think someone must have been in it before. I just now noticed what looks like a desoldered & missing component right at the top left of the transformer in the pic that dick_barton just posted. SJ doesn't have a board but I do see one or two on Ebay. Considering the damage on this one, I probably should just try one of those.

Voltage across each of those long black caps is 358v

Looks like those traces going to it got hot

Probably should read "lost a leg"
I would check those series resistors too. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed value (top right of the board)

I see that "cut off" leg of the transformer, but if you look on the other side of the board, there isn't any hole there to put that cut off leg of the transformer in.
