    Panasonic tx-55650b

    Hi
I have a panasonic tx-55as650b lcd tv which all of a sudden lost its picture, but the backlight was still on. All p/s voltages are good and there is voltage on the output of the t con board. I bought a replacement motherboard and with this one in place there is no backlight the SRV-VLED remains at 24 volts (original m/b switches it to 46v) there is no voltage at srv 12v for t con and the green power led blinks rapidly before going solid. when i remove the ribbon to the panel on one side the other side has vertical lines of various colours which disappear when the ribbon is plugged in. Anyone have any pointers? thanks in advance for any help

with original m/b in place t con voltages are as follows: v_in 12v
    vdd 0v
    vgh -0.2v
    hvdd 0v
    vcc 3.3v
    vgl -5.1v
    vcore 1.2v
    vep 1.8v
    gclk 1.6v
    mclk 0.1v
    gst 0v
    eo 0v
    gip_bypasson 0v
    vcom top 0v
    vcom bottom 0.1v
    vst -5.1v
    vgh_even -5.1v
    vgh_odd -5.1v
    clk1 through clk6 -5.1v

So with the original mainboard the tv turns on , has backlight but no picture?

Does the tv turn on with the replacement board or is it "dead" ? If the backlight stays on then i think you have a problem with the t-con.

      Re: Panasonic tx-55650b

i bought a new m/b and a new t con. with the new m/b no backlight and no 12v on the test point between lvds to tcon so i am guessing its no good. with old m/b and new t con no change just backlight. i took off one ribbon to panel and the other side just has vertical lines. when you switch between sources on tv the backlight changes brightness. I have a feeling panel is bad but not sure how to test to find out for sure.

Hmm , strange! You sure the new t-con is good?

Here you can download the service manual.

Wait for the "processing" on the bottom of the page to disappear. It will change to " get manual ".

Go to page 21 and do the self check. Hope this helps you.

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
          by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

          Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

          First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
          by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
          by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

          Quick question about the ribbon
          by Rubenlily
          Hey,

So I have horizontal lines on my TV and I'm trying to trouble shoot. My question about the ribbon is:

When I disconnect one ribbon from the t-con I should get half picture working and other half black or something like that correct? But when I disconnect the ribbon on one side I just get a dark screen and it doesn't matter what side I disconnect. I just get the dark screen. No half working, no one half black and the other one left. Sound is playing from the TV so it's obviously on and when both sides are connected I have the picture with the horizontal lines...
