Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
R7816 is the current sensing resistor connected to the Source pin of the PFC MOSFET, when MOSFET shorted out it will blow that Source resistor, it is 0.56 Ohm Flame proof type resistor, you can use MOX (Metal Oxide) power resistor.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
Thanks for the superfast response BUDM. Do you know the value of R7816? Looks like owner replaced (or got it replaced) the resistor. Currently it has a 6.8 ohm resistor. Not sure if thats the right value.
If that PFC MOSFET is blown, more likely the components connected to the Gate and the PFC IC are likely to be damaged also.
You should attach the pictures of the board?
What is the P/N of the power supply board?
Sharp RUNTKB057WJQZ (DPS-168JP A)??? yes its DPS-168JP A
MOV Z7001 is blown? 150V rating MOV with about the same Dia, will be fine.
What is the history of the TV? Hit by power surge? I got it from Craigslist hence no information on history.

There should be part number printed on the Bridge and the Q7801 (PFC MOSFET).

Hi All, I have a LC-60LE600U with blown fuse. I did quick check and looks like its rectifier is fried. Hence I am looking for actual part numbers for the Bridge rectifier, the Q7801 and R7816. Does anyone have schematics?
Thanks in advance for your help!!Leave a comment:

I think the reset procedure is to hold down input and vol- at the same time you plug it in.Leave a comment:

Thanks bud I will try to check the key button controller, and are there any key components on the main board I should check since there is an issue? How are you making out with the LC-70LE757U? if you need and readings etc. we could take mine off the mount to help you out- let me knowLeave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
I did some searching in BC, it looks like the ERROR should be high. Looking through the PDF in the link, it looks to be that the ERROR pin is for the Backlight Error.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
Pin 22 ERROR = 0.95V
The problem right now is that we do not know what the value of this Voltahe should be for the main board to think that it is normal, this error signal may be keeping the TV from sending the control signals, I cannot find much info form most of the Sharp TV service manual to tell me what the normal condition should be.
Need to do more research or if someone has working board can take the reading for us to verify.Leave a comment:

You think the key control board? there must be a diagram for checking somewhereLeave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
Hi yes unplugging and holding power, plug in hit power again or vol and chan down while replugging does nothing. when I saw the key controller is plugged into the main board I figured that might be smoked worse then the power supply- is there some method of testing the main?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
tjmethod says pushing power button does nothing. Maybe problem with power to buttons and led on front? I have quick question for you budm if I might and don't want to hijack tread. You say pfc should be >360v if it is 357v will that cause a problem?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
I expect error codes since the standby power supply is present, other wise it means the main board is dead due to what I do not know.Leave a comment:

budm on post #3 he says there are no lights. Seems like he should be getting blink code.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
BTW, did you see any blinking error codes at all?
For example:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...&highlight=STB
Pin 16 PNL_POW = 0.05V = No command to turn on PNL12V for running the T-CON
Pin 24 STB (Von) = 0.58V = No BL-ON to turn on backlights circuit
No dimming control:
Pin 17 PWM1 = 0.16V
Pin 19 DIMMER = -0.00V
The key is this one which I do not what it should be for normal operation:
Pin 22 ERROR = 0.95VLast edited by budm; 02-01-2017, 03:23 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-60LE600U no power period
With Magnavisors on I didn't even see that 1 & 2 tucked in there- in post 7 I thought you were making reference to (PD-1-2) PNL12V since it was at the top of the PD. Anyway, I hope this makes better sense. Also while I back probed all the pins, I tried hitting the power button which did nothing-
Pin 1 PNL12V = 0.00V
Pin 2 PNL12V = 0.00V
Pin 3 GND = -0.00V
Pin 4 GND = -0.00V
Pin 5 UR13.2V = 13.15V
Pin 6 UR13.2V = 13.15V
Pin 7
Pin 8
Pin 9 GND = -0.00V
Pin 10 GND = -0.00V
Pin 11
Pin 12
Pin 13 AC_DET = 3.28V
Pin 14 PS_ON = 2.07V
Pin 15 BU5V = 5.01V
Pin 16 PNL_POW = 0.05V
Pin 17 PWM1 = 0.16V
Pin 18
Pin 19 DIMMER = -0.00V
Pin 20
Pin 21
Pin 22 ERROR = 0.95V
Pin 23
Pin 24 STB = 0.58VLeave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
