    Panasonic TC-P65S1 6 blink

Acquired this TV from a Craigslist seller. Seller said he took to a shop with 6 blink error code and the shop diagnosed as a bad "SS" board.

I took the back off the set and found the "SS" board Vs voltage shorted to ground. SC board was not shorted. I did not plug in or attempt to turn on
the TV after seeing the SS board, I did not verify the 6 blink code.

Included are pictures of the SS board showing blown apart capacitors.

Anybody seen this type of failure before?

Thought I might send in the board to PTS electronics to have them repair the board(if they can), but wanted to run it by more experienced folks before I
sink a bunch of money in to it.

Those blue caps look as though they have had it.

Have had it and then some. I've never seen these type of capacitors blown up like this.

Installed the repaired board today and the TV fired right up. $95 + shipping the board to PTS. Looks like they replaced the blown caps and replaced several components mounted on the heatsinks. Probably could have fixed this myself, if I could have sourced the parts, but I did get it fixed for sure and a warranty.

Working is what is wanted as an end result.

yep, just 2 weeks ago. Same board but in a 65V10 with about 7000 hrs. Seemed to be a lot of heat generated in that area. This one ran for a short while then shutdown but 8 blinks.

Could hear an arc, thought it was dust then took the board out for a good look and exactly same caps roasted.

Did a quick salvage and repair off some other boards. I think I should have done more looking at yours. Just replaced the one bad one. Something tells me the rest won't be far behind,

First time I've seen these go like that.

Should mention the heat extraction fans were clogged with dust. Cleaned those and torqued down every screw on every board.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                    Assuming...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                    After all of...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                    by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

                    Panasonic TH-L32C30D P-Board (1 Blink-Backlight_SOS)
                    by tiku
Hello Friends, i am having this model Panasonic TH-L32C30D, suddenly when i switch on, it went on One Blink, after looking at the service manual it says Backlight_SOS, I can see the menu on the tv screen for few seconds in the dark with the help of flashlight Before it goes into blinking cycle.
I was having a backup P-Board which i replaced it and now its working fine, but i need to repair my faulty P-Board, as now its getting dificult to find any type of spares of this model, so can any friend who is master in Panasonic Repair, be kind enough to guide me or tell me which component should...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
                    by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
