Sharp LC-65LE645 Frozen at Sharp Logo

I tried finding the firmware to reflash but it seems it was never updated from factory and so is not available for download. Thinking I was looking at replacing the board anyhow I decided to attempt to flash with firmware from a similar set with similar specs and it worked. Firmware was from the LC-65LE654. Don't forget to rename the downloaded flash file to "install.img" Simply copy to the root of fat32 formatted usb stick and place in side usb port then plug in the set.

Posting on the longshot someone finds themselves in the same bind now or in the future.

good info as lots of people seem to have issues "forcing" a firmware load onto a set via the usb. Most seem to get "stuck" with a "no update found" of equivalent but I think they aren't following a good "process". I think that you should always be able to force a load image assuming the "bootstrap" is functioning.

Is it possible to read the firmware from a set to a USB for archiving or with just some sets?
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Ya believe me I know about good process - it took me a while to figure out the file name as downloaded from the Sharp website needed to be truncated. After that, as easy as pie lol.
