Ok, put my original board in. All were pretty close ( 0.1 ohm) except for 1 SE8117TA on pin 1 = 2.05v and new(?) one was 1.25 . Also 1 of the 1084PM reads different, pin 1 now =0v 2= 1.25v 3=2.50v . Very different from replacement but neither works, at least the new one allows me to turn it on with the remote as my old one did until I touched something wrong :-( I hope someone can help me. My coffee table still full of TV,

Hey thanks for the reply I'm going to resolder some of the replaced caps on the main board, they look pretty bad, then put it back in if no joy I'll try the psu then logic. Don't know what else to do at this point.

so was your replacement mainboard repaired before you got it? the trouble is if you do any work/repairs on it they may not have it back as a return if is faulty.

Well I bit the bullet and ordered another main board today. My clumsy fingers are costing me but I am determined to fix this bugger even tho I am getting close to the cost of a new LCD, but they dont hold a candle to this plasma. Wish me luck, I,ll let ya all know..

your as bad as me never give up on a project even if it costs more than its worth but intermittent faults like this are always going too be hard to find thats the trouble with secondhand boards you never know if there 100% working or adding a diffrent fault for you to find as you have said your self you have now changed 3 boards so which one is now at fault i would try putting your old boards bk in and just change replacement mainbaord and go from there if for some reason that does not solve it go back to the start ie psu voltage testing make sure all are correct (may have to add resistors to jump start psu) then if psu ok run test patterns etc.

Ah, the saga continues, after installing the 2n'd (new) main board I finally have a picture and a remote that will work with the tv,BUT, now I have no audio..It did work fine before. I originaly tested just hooked up to Air/cable and had a good pic. no audio so I hooked up my dvd which it played well before, no pic. white flash on screen, sometimes flashes "not supported" and of course no sound. Hooked it up to my fibre op and same result as with dvd. You fellas were right on about the main board. I wonder if you have an idea about this problem. The part no's match right down to rev.#

go through all menus as well,a lot of tv's you can disable the tv sound for when you plug in an external sound device. Video settings don't match between dvd and tv? Is tv on 4;3 instead of 16;9 etc...

I would like to hear from someone like Tom66 or Reeceyburger who have alot of experience helping newbies like me, to give me some guidance on how to go about diagnosing my no audio and no video on hdmi ports, pic. only on air/cable input problem. I really don't like the idea of orderiing a 3rd board.
                                Thanks Richard.

This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors
