Working on this TV for my son, it's got a black line running down one side of the screen (picture attached). The line appears to run in front of the menu/display otherwise the picture is perfect. From a bit of reading it sounds like a buffer board might be bad but would love some help with figuring out what to fix/replace.
When we took the back off and dug around we did find one cable running from the Y-sus board to the panel that appeared to have some damage. I've attached a not very good picture but there appear to be two pin holes in the cable along with one corner that was bent backwards. No has worked on the TV so I'm assuming it's been that way since it came from the factory. The line only appeared in the last month or two.
Any thoughts on next steps?
