Working on this TV for my son, it's got a black line running down one side of the screen (picture attached). The line appears to run in front of the menu/display otherwise the picture is perfect. From a bit of reading it sounds like a buffer board might be bad but would love some help with figuring out what to fix/replace.
When we took the back off and dug around we did find one cable running from the Y-sus board to the panel that appeared to have some damage. I've attached a not very good picture but there appear to be two pin holes in the cable along with one corner that was bent...

Samsung PN51E6500EF Replaced logic and XYM board, no love...
This TV has me stumped. Initially it just started powering on and off constantly. I figured (had some issues previously and most of the HDMI ports had failed) that was the logic board (BN94-04644C/97-05181C) and replaced it. That fixed the power on/off problem. The green LED blinks once per second, etc.
Unfortunately the display came up all distorted and strange. After a second or two it would fade to almost black to the point where the setup menu (from the new logic board) wasn't legible. After a good bit of reading it appeared that was caused by a bad X sustain. This TV seems...
