    Sony kdl-60W630B 5 Blink Error

    Hi All. Sony kdl-60W630B giving me the 5 red blinking light error.

    PS seems good, output from it is okay. I changed the TCON board already with no change to problem.

    Everything hooked up as it should be: 5 red blinking lights

    TCON disconnected from main board:Green light as it should and backlights come on as they should, no images

    TCON disconnected from panel (either/both of the ribbon cables): 5 red blinking lights.

    Anyone have suggestions on what to try? I'm thinking the panel is simply dead.

          Bought it as is for $75. I've had some good luck fixing tv's in the past. Can't figure this one out

              :-( swapping cards might not have achieved much IF the "new one" met with the same issue as the old one. :-(
              Check both for blown fuses and go from there.

              Of course, if you want more help, read the "hints" about posting at the start of the forum and what info AND pictures you need to get.

              Since, it has an "unknown history", you should likely do a good inspection of the backside / board / panel looking for ..... bad things like "water marks"... as people seem to thing a "little window washing" can't hurt anything... :-) look around the bottom panel / boards for glues.

                  Agreed,both tabs disconnected from panel and still 5 blinks,tcon disconnected,green light.
                  I'm thinking you bought a defective t-con board

                      If the panel was bad, wouldn't it be acting the same way it is now even with a working Tcon?

                          Is the purchased t-con from the exact model of the tv or is just a matching board.

                          Their are eeproms on the t-con even if the board number matches it must be programmed for your panel.

                                  Hi,

                                  i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
                                  Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
                                  If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
                                  Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
                                  With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

                                  Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
                                  Or is it always a bad/shorted...

                                  my tv almost 2 years not powerd on and when i turned it on nothing happened and only 3 red light keeps blinking
                                  i opened the back cover no sign of damage on the powery suply or motherboard
                                  when i plug in the power i hear the reley sound like tik first and another tik..after that only red keep blinking..
                                  another thing is even after i unplugged the power, The tv keeps red blinking 3 times for 2 almost 2 munites

                                  Full model of the TV is 65UJ6300-UA.BUSYLOR. TV was given to me by a relative as non-operational so I'm trying to get it working so I have a nice cheap upgrade for my living room. This is my first TV repair so if it sounds a little like I know what I'm talking about, I don't.

                                  TV turns on and has audio, but backlight doesn't turn on. Getting 230v from LED+ to chassis. Also can't see anything with flashlight test. Another forum suggested I replace the LED strips because that's the most common failure on LG TV's and the flashlight test doesn't always show results.

                                  I have a Sony 65A8H. Always bothered me that it doesn't have HDMI 2.1. I noticed the A80J board appears quite similar. And comparing some wiring diagrams in the service manuals (albeit A9G vs A90J since I couldn't find the A8/80 manuals), things appeared quite similar. And my understanding is the panels between the two TVs are more or less the same.

                                  So I decided I'd experiment a little bit.

                                  I bought an A80J board. Left the speaker connection unplugged because it doesn't fit. Changed the power connector to fit the new board. Plugged in everything else.

                                  Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

                                  When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

                                  I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...
