Any ideas? Sammy PN4B400 standby light but won't turn on

Older Sammy plasma may be worth saving? Standby light but won't turn on. Swapped power supply board with known good replacement. No change. Unplugged the Y sust. Harness to take it out of the equation then powered up. still no change. Same thing with the Z sust. no change!!

Is it feasible that the inverter (filter as it's labeled) is shot? I'm referring to the silver block that the plug goes into, from there it feeds the PS board. Successfully repaired a few LCDs but plasma different animal.

    Appreciate all feedback

    Cheers

Hardly likely...These are made very robust.....When the VS is disconnected from the Y-SUS the PSU will not turn on. With everything reconnected...when you plug in to 120Vac are you hearing a 'click' from the PSU?....If so most likely the PSU is good...If not then PSU is bad...No 'click'...Check for open fuses and/or short circuits on PSU....If 'click' is heard...disconnect the jack from the PSU to the Y-SUS Bd......then connect two (2) 120Vac light bulbs in SERIES and connect it to the jack going to the Y-SUS Bd across the points marked VS and Gnd....Plug the TV to the 120Vac and the light bulbs should light up bright if PSU is good. (It may take a second or two for the light bulbs to turn on)...Hope this helps.
