pity the pcb was damaged would of been cheaper to by new leds and replace all of them in one go.

At the same time, do you, or anyone else have cross reference information on the LEDs for a LM41-00001V light string? I don't have a good reference as to how the LED pads should look like since it's all burnt up. I'm assuming the replacement LED should just have two pads similar to: http://www.lumileds.com/uploads/402/DS203-pdf

The PCB is charred, but I think it still can be salvaged ... just need to really clean up the damaged section or cut it out entirely.

It needs to have If rating around 300~400mA range (not the peak pulse rating), 1W LED should be the one to get..

I returned the TV to the owner as-is. It works for now, so we'll just let it be.
