PS50Q96HD Panel Failure Blowing Boards ?

Im about to physically flip out in a minuet. This 50" Shitsung is being a total pain in the ass. Originally came in with blown upper buffer and Ysus. Ive fixed over 20 of these by now so nothing new to me.

Sorted both, tested Ysus before hooking up the buffer all voltages correct. VSC fine etc, Xmain also tests fine voltage wise. Plugged in buffer and bang goes my replacement Ic even though it tested fine and there was not any solder faults.

After replacing it again and retesting everything which seemed fine I decided to put the Ysus, buffers, xmain and control board in another panel (Q97) which had good sustain boards just psu fault and put the ones out of that into the Q96 and it blew up the Ysus and buffers again wtf ?

Is my PDP in the Q96 failed ? Its not cracked and there are no evident line shorts but the boards were fine and now the Q96 ones that I repaired are working fine too. Any ideas before the set leaves the house out the window ?

Panel shorting....you did everything correctly, twice......out thru the window... :-)

Stand and power supply can be sold and are in high demand for that model. The igbt RJH3047 are salvageable from the x and y mains, and can be used to replace panasonics failing rjp30h2a and 30f131.

Update, still got the set going to have a good play soon. Fixed up another Ysus and buffer. Will be scoping all waveforms later and seeing if they are correct then will hook panel up.

I have had this problem...a very close inspection has revealed a blown (black) pixel on the screen.Had around five sets now,over two years,with the pixel issue.

Cheers buddy, I trashed this junk today. Almost blew another buffer, few good punches finished it for good never bothered to look for black pixels. Thanks for the post first time Ive had this on these.
