Hanspree gone mad

My Hannspree 37" YT08 has started showing the menu randomly, sometimes every few seconds.
I have of course taken the remote out of the equation simply by removing the batteries.
It also will not respond to the buttons on the set itself sometimes.

If it sounds like a quick fix I'll have a go at fixing it but if not I'll get a new set.The Hannspree is 8 years old and done it's job pretty well.

buttoon panel nees cleaning and then check the buttons.

Hi mate,
I presume mean clean the buttons internally (they don't appear to be sticking externally) Do I use a fluid of some type?

no you probably need to replace them.
check them with a meter set to resistance setting.
