Philip Plasma 50pfp5332D/37 Single Horizontal Colored Line

I have this 50 inch philips plasma TV has a great pictures when i first turn the set on i get two colored lines at top of TV. when i switch it off and back on i only get one line in the center of the set. there is also a sparkling on the y sustain side of the TV. I had to change the upper and lower buffer board. This line is very thin and seem as if it is on top of the image

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Watch this, helps if you did some research for yourself on this chassis, Ysus failure kills buffer you need to test the Ysus for short circuits:

Ok so thats with the Ysus changed you now have image ? I advise you reseat the buffer connections going to the screen. If it still persists then check the buffer Ics in that area see if one has a shorted line. Panel failure like this is very very rare.

I found a post from tom66 on how to run the test pattern by jumpering the 3 and 4 pin on the logic board. Test worked fine still showed the horizontal line threw all colors but green

              any suggestion? anyone?

Re: Philip Plasma 50pfp5332D/37 Single Horizontal Colored Line

The line was in the exact centre of the image in first pic (Like Frame-Collapse on a CRT!)

Second picture its displaced much closer to the top....

Check buffer connections--those plug sockets can be trouble if ham-fisted repairs been done...

Fact that the line has moved proved panel is OK, and prob Buffers OK too. YSUS is working so is XSUS. Possible the cont board is messing round....

Ham-Fisted = Rough Treatment careless and forcing things...

Cont-board by substitution as you have already run test-patterns.

The Position Of The Line Isnt Constant--Therefore implies poor connections from panel to buffers.
--Each Line is addressed by its own part of each buffer chip.

Only things that could make a line change position are fiddling with buffer/panel connections or the cont-board messing round...

While watching, just went black and started clicking relay every few seconds.

                                          Initial diagnosis:
Removing JUST the main CPU/Input PCB from circuit stops the clicking. No problems with any other boards/drivers. (Removing all other boards and only putting Main back in is all it takes to start clicking again)

                                          Deeper diagnosis:
Pulling pins #1/#2 (Blue/Grey) from the connector housing...

                                          Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

                                          LG 50PG10 Plasma Vertical Line
                                          by canadaboy25
Hey guys, I'm being offered an LG 50PG10 plasma with a vertical line running down the screen.

Apparently, if you give the TV a good smack on the frame above the line, it will go away for a while.

Does this sound like a bad solder joint or loose ribbon cable? Or a bad panel? If it's not likely to be a bad panel I will likely pick it up.

                                          What do you guys think?

                                          Thanks...

                                          Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line

                                          Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

                                          Hoping to fix...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive
                                          by FALKLAN
Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....
