    Samsung LN37A550P3F(XZA) backlight issue

Just this morning, the TV went blank - no backlight. If I turn off and on the TV, the backlight is good for about 5 minutes then out again. I haven't taken it apart yet, but I'm guessing a capacitor issue on the Inverter board.

Can anyone point me to a schematic of the inverter board for this model?

There are more than one version of this TV model.

Diagram for the inverter board is almost impossible to find.
You need to take the TV apart and upload good clear pictures first.
Bad caps can look normal, you will need to do some Voltages checking first if no sign of caps with bulging tops or burnt parts.

That is power supply board, how about the inverter board?
The Black connector going to the main board and the white connector going to the Inverter board have pin name for each one of them, you will need to take the DCV readings for each pin when the TV is working and when it stops working. Make sure to report the pin name and follow by the DCV reading for each pin so we can see what are missing when the TV stops working.

Inverter board is VIT71037.50 LOGAH REV:1

          I'll measure voltages tomorrow evening.

BTW, for now you should make sure that all the hold down screws for the circuit boards are on tight.

I have the TV on its face, back removed, cover over backlight power board removed and screws put back in place. The TV has been on for over an hour and does not fail. I have recorded the voltages of all of the connector pins on the power supply board. Waiting for it to fail.

TV did not fail while out of the entertainment center. It is probably a little warmer there.
While I had it out, I replaced the caps on the power supply and backlight driver boards. It is now back in the entertainment center. I expect that it won't fail anymore. Hard failures are much easier to diagnose.

                    Hello All!

So here is the issue I am having. When everything is plugged in as normal, the TV turns on and I get a quick flash of the backlight. After that the backlight never turns back on but the rest of the TV works fine. If I pull the PWM pin from the cable between the main board and power board the backlight turns on and the tv works "normally". If it is plugged in I get nothing. I did do a factory reset but that didn't solve my issue. When everything is plugged in normally I get .6v at start up and continues rise over about 10 seconds. (~.6v then ~.8v then ~1.8v...

                    Hello Team,

I'm back with another backlight issue that I thought was simple, but it turned out to be more complex than expected.

Let me provide a brief history: The TV was working well, then one day, the backlight started and shut down. I thought I had an LED issue leading to this behavior, so I replaced the LEDs with brand new ones. However, the issue remains the same.

Next, I replaced the electrolytic capacitors attached to the LED power supply, but the results were the same. I then replaced the driver, a OB3365RP, and did it twice due to the same result....

                    Samsung un65eh6000 backlight issue
                    by bstewara
                    Hi All,
                    I have a Samsung Un65eh6000 with a backlight issue.

The original issue was backlight current was present but led strips did not light

I tested the backlights and all tested to be working properly.

I assumed then that the power supply was not sending current to the led strips.
Power supply board part number BN44-00560A.
After checking voltages it appears that current output at connector CNL802 was outputting the correct current 189 VDC on pins 1,2,6, and 8.

The issue then was there was no ground on the connector...

Samsung UE48JU7000 screen issue after backlight replacement
                    by ScHAmPi
                    Hi all,

Because of two bright spots and a couple of dark spots I decided to replace the backlights in my Samsung UE48JU7000. See attached photos:

I thought all went well, but after full assembly and testing it out it turns out not all is fine. The backlights are completely fine but I have some weird issues on the right half of the screen. Since I didn't really touch the T-CON board (apart from taking out the ribbons of the display and reconnecting them on assembly) it would be weird that the issue is with the T-CON board... But based on the behavior of the service...

iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen Backlight Issue
                    by cheebster
Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
                    Anyone...
