    Panasonic TX-P42GT50B occasionally UI freezing

Got an odd one, bought this TV working a few months ago for myself (eBay bargain, cost me £117) and no problems thus far. At the time, no trouble codes on the TV, and only 4000 hours usage. Been having a problem with the TV where sometimes the user interface freezes completely, no response from the remote, but the picture and sound are fine. Usually happens after leaving the smart TV function or switching from Freeview to HDMI.

Oddly enough if you turn it off using the remote, it responds to that, but if you turn it back on, it is still frozen. It also turns on much quicker than normal (like in 2 seconds instead of 10 seconds.) Power cycling at the mains seems to sort the problem out.

Hoping it's not a main board because that'll probably set me back more than the TV cost! Maybe resolvable through a firmware update.

    Anyone heard of this issue?

Sounds just like firmware glitches Tom, however I am aware the boards used in that set are prone to Bga solder issues on the main cpu etc. Maybe factory reset it and try a firmware upgrade.

My VT50 does not have any problems with the smart function. Mine has the latest firmware.

I got the 50GT50 mainboard. Can always send it if you want to try it out , not sure if it would work in a 42inch though.

Panasonic website says the following about the 42/50GT50 firmware:

      Jun. 24, 2014
      Ver. 1.630
      Improvement of network functions.

Found the issue, it was the USB hard disk I had attached to it for recording. If I remove that while it's frozen, it responds immediately. It's my fault for getting a cheap one, I'll be sending this one back to the manufacturer for a refund as it seems to have some kind of issue.

LOL, makes sense now. I was definitely thinking A-board with the issue originally.

Firmware needed for A Panasonic TX-55FX555B 4K HDR TV
            by l3emarsh
            I have a Panasonc/vestel 55" 4K HDR TV and I need A copy of the Firmware.

I replaced the main board and someone gave me a 43" FINLUX firmware as it is a Panasonic Vestel version, it got the TV working again but the PIP will not work, I can only assume that it's because the Firmware thinks it is 43" tv?

I was greatfull for the TV to be workng again and it's been okay, but now I want to get it set up correctly.

If anyone has a copy of the firmware I need PLEASE help me out and send me A copy.

            Greatfull for any help.

            Thinkpad Docker G2 Type-C 40AS - Firmware Unknown
            by TheUser
            Hello to everyone ,

This is my first post here, and i would like to share with you a small story in case you can help me.

Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.

All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work

I searched on reddit and google for problem similar to that, and a LOT of people had fixed this problem by updating the firmware. So i tried , i searched and found 1.1.13 utility and 1.1.20 utility that can help...

            Ubiquiti firmware help. US-8-150W POE
            by gurj1979
            Hi guys.

I've got a Ubiquiti US-8-150W POE switch which has issues with updating the firmware.
Turned out to be a bad EEPROM chip. It would read the firmware and work as normal, but failed to write new firmware to it.

So I took off the chip and read on EEPROM and saved it. Wrote to old chip and failed to write
Got New chip and writes good.

            THE PROBLEM...
It fails to fully load the firmware, POE lights fail to work during g firmware test during load. I'm suspecting bad EEPROM Read.

Does anyone have a Good Firmware I can have?...

            panasonic tx-55fx555b firmware issue
            by Chrissygizmo
Hi all, am posting this for a friend so I don't have any photos of boards or anything, I know I should have all the information at hand with photos etc but I just thought I would try to find him the firmware he needs, I saw a thread on here where a user named "Diah" sent links to "l3emarsh" for the same firmware...

Basically, the standby light is constantly flashing & after reading posts on different sites I've come to the conclusion that it most likely is the firmware...

            Any help would be appreciated

            Thanks in advance

NP930XED Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro Laptop PD Firmware Loop
            by sikocan
            Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with a laptop that had a Type-C Port issue, specifically related to a PD (Power Delivery) controller problem. After replacing the damaged PD controller chip with a new one I purchased from AliExpress, the laptop now charges properly and negotiates power as expected, allowing the device to power up. I've replaced this chip twice just in case.

However, it seems that the laptop's BIOS is detecting an older version of the PD Firmware on the newly installed chip. As a result, it attempts...
