    LG 50PK950-UA Flashing Screen.

    I just acquired on 50PK950 Plasma TV. The set failed with a very unusual problem. The screen flashes on and off about 74 times a minute. The brief lit screen shows a good picture and sound is always on. I read somewhere that it could be the Y-SUS board as there are large IC's that can fail but there are no large IC's on my Y-SUS board. There is a small Control board in the middle that has some large IC's. The power-supply and Z-SUS have been very hot as the circuit boards have very dark heat spots. The power-supply voltages check out fine. I've found 5.1, 17, 60, and 201 volts. The remote control functions seems to work just fine. Hoping someone has seen this on the "PK" series. I would appreciate any advice as I'm trying to prevent it from going to the landfill.

      Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

          Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

          My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

          This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

          Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

          It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

          Hi,

          I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

          Hi all,

          i got a A1466 with serious water damage. I was able to clean the whole board and only found a fuse with a coroded trace. Cleaning and resoldering did the job and the macbook started normal but after some time the screen began "flashing" like turning on and off while the Macbook was still running. I checked the board again but was not able to find the problem until now.
          Any ideas where to look?...
