    Westinghouse VR-4085DF Restarting Issue

I am hoping to repair a Westinghouse VR-4085DF LCD TV. When watching the TV lines come display across the screen followed by the TV power cycling itself. It started about a month ago and would happen maybe every 5 minutes. Not it is to the point where it happens within a minute. After a few times the TV doesn't turn itself back on. I can manually turn it back on but it does do it on its own. The TV works great when it is not turning itself off.

I unplugged the t-con board and it still restarts so I do not think it is that. All inputs work also. I also removed the power supply board and inspected it for any bulging capacitors or burns and did not see any but I have not tested it with a multi-meter. I have or can get most tools that are needed to test any other components. If anyone has any suggestions or advice any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached a picture of the display prior to it restarting as well as a picture of the boards on the back of the TV. The display lines are mild on the picture compared to how many lines display sometimes. There are times where you cannot even see the display there are so many lines. If anyone needs any additional pictures or information please let me know. Thank you for taking the time to read the post and in advance for any assistance you can provide.

    Re: Westinghouse VR-4085DF Restarting Issue

I just wanted to post a follow up. The TV is still having the same issues after making sure all connections were secure as well as leaving it unplugged for several days allowing the capacitors to drain. Any new ideas on how to repair this would be great.

You need ESR meter to test the caps. Did you inspect the caps on the inverter board?
We also need better pictures of the board, please upload good clear whole pictures of the power supply board, the main board, inverter board.
You need to look at the power supply board connectors to see if the pins of the connectors are labeled to tell us what each pins are for or not because you will need to check the DCV on the pins.

I have loaded clearer pictures. If anyone wants the original of any let me know. You can zoom in and read almost all of the information on the boards in the original, I am not sure the same clarity will be there once posted. Please let me know what you would like me to try next and I will post results.

I have visually inspected the boards and caps and do not see any signs of malfunction but I am also a novice at this and may be missing something. I am have loaded pictures of both boards that I see. I think the power supply and the inverter board are together on this tv, if not hopefully someone can direct me to the board I am missing. Hopefully the pictures posted are clear enough to see the details on the pins. If not I will take a look and gather any information required.

Strange LG TV issue : Image vertical lines in black screen
            by Ancient1
            Hi

            Asking for a friend.

I'm used to black vertical line in otherwise good image - probable solution is a rubber to push and tighten the COFs bonding.
but here its the opposite !

TV has new T-con = same issue
A missing panel voltage would have global effect

So , what should one do ? how can I find where the fault is ?

            Thanks !...

LG 47LV5500-UA Vertical Colored Lines/Alignment Issue
            by Superluminal
Hi all, looking for some input on this one. I've been reading the forums for quite some time but this is my first time posting for help.

            LG 47LV5500-UA
            10 years old
            20,000+ hours on it.

Watching TV on it last week and right while I was watching the image suddenly started experiencing the symptoms in pics. Rainbow chromatic vertical lines and alignment issues. The issue is uniform across the entire panel. It does not come and go, the symptoms are stable.

Here is what I've tried so far:

            Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
            by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
            by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Alienware 15 R2 Service Tag: DL7NN32 ISSUE (Battery is not charging)
            by Simone Vergani
            Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:
