Hitachi P50S601 ~ Almost completely repaired

I have been working on this Hitachi P50S601 for a couple weeks now and have obtained both a picture and sound by replacing the two 3300 uf capacitors on the power board and both SDR boards.

The only remaining problem is that I am getting very thin, black horizontal bars across the entire width of the tv from left to right (please see the three example pics I have posted below). They cover the entire screen at this point, from top to bottom. I have fixed two of these sets already, so I know that these TYPES of lines are common if the driver board ribbon cables are not seated properly. In fact, it took me about 10 tries on another Hitachi to get it right and eliminate these types of lines from the picture.

THE PROBLEM is, I don't think these VERY THIN lines are the same as the ones that normally appear. When I fixed the other sets and set those ribbon cables, the black, horizontal lines in question were much thicker. I believe that each one of those lines were two to three times as thick as the ones I am seeing now on the P50S601.

Here are some other clues to the puzzle:

    1. I have a Hitachi P50H401 on the living room wall, and it has been operating fine since I fixed it back in the spring time. However, on rare occasions, this set has exhibited instances where the exact same VERY THIN black, horizontal lines will appear for just a few seconds, and then the set resumes its normal picture and operation for days and even weeks on end. These brief lines I am referring to on the P50H401 appear across the entire screen from left to right and from top to bottom .... just like the more prevalent problem on the P50S601.

Therefore, I am wondering if it is more of a loose connector or connection problem than a ribbon seating issue.

    2. However, I have already tried several different input combinations to try to find that loose connection. I get the same THIN LINE results no matter if I put the HDMI cable in Port 1 or Port 2 on the back, and also the same if I put it into the HDMI Front port on the face of the set. In addition, I hooked up a DVD player using RCA cables and still ...... I get the exact same results.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with the VERY THIN black lines and, if so, what is the fix?

    (3. I also noticed on the P50S601 that when I first turn it on and get a black screen that reveals some "purpleish" areas. These do not appear to be perceptible once the picture fires up. I don't think this is particularly important to the horizontal, black line issue, but thought it might prove helpful to know if someone else has experienced the same.)

I am hoping that there is a quick fix to this so I can have this set fully functional with just a simple tweak or two. If it is the ribbon cable seating, and I just don't have it quite right yet (I've tried it about a dozen times now), please inform me of that if you know it to be the case even with the THIN horizontal lines. I just don't want to keep trying to seat them over and over and over again as these SDR boards are very touchy and can blow out the IC's with little provocation.

When seating the cables, use a magnifier and make sure the ribbons tab is ahead of the white plastic tab on the connector (marked in yellow).
for the other problem, check your Vs and Va voltages. their values should be on a sticker on the panel. If the problem does clear up shortly after the panel warms up it could be just due to panel aging.
