Re: TCP60ST50 7 blibking red lights

Thank you for all of your help. I sent the SC board in and just received the replacement. I'm about to install the new board but will conduct the SC50 test first. Hope all goes well.

Re: TCP60ST50 7 blibking red lights

I just did the SC50 test. Ground screws removed. SC20 and SC2 plugged in. Jumped SC50. I heard the TV buzz then 3 fast blinks. I assume I should start troubleshooting 3 fast blinks now.

Thank you for your reply. Missing 15v what does that exactly mean? Could a shorted A board short out new SU, SD and SC. I started with 7 blinks so I've replaced the SC, SU and SD. Trying not to cause anymore problems.

i think he is, does your sc board still test good?
also have you re tested the buffer boards just in case ones failed.

Re: TCP60ST50 7 blibking red lights

I just received a replacement SC board. When I tested the old one, I was still receiving 7 blinks. With the new SC installed during SC50 test, for the first time, the tv comes on, solid red led, buzzes, then blinks fast 3 times. I am about to test the buffer boards again. However, they are new as well. TW was under the impression that a bad buffer could damage a good SC but a bad SC wouldn't damage good buffers.

Power off and remove the SC20/SC2 connector from the sc board.

Dont need to test the buffers yet.

Meter in diode/beep mode and measure for short on SC2. If it beeps the SC is bad. If it does not beep then it's probably ok.

I would recheck all cables. Especially on the mainboard. Maybe a pin is bent?

3 blinks can be mainboard or powersupply. I would not be suprised if a cable is badly seated or not connected at all.

Ok pictures are not clear , looks like they were taken by a old nokia Phone haha.

What did you do to get back to 7 blinks?

                                        1) Is the connection between both buffer boards ok? ( Small ribbon cable ). It can cause 7 blinks if a tab has been lifted or badly seated ).

                                        2) Did you remove the SC50 jumper when you connected the buffer boards?

                                        3) Do you have a short on SC2 connector? ( powerconnector SC board ).

Its actually an iPhone 6S. However, the tv is in front of windows. I think there's just too much natural light. I have tested:

                                          SU41 Pin 2 .542 k
                                          SU41 Pin 6 3.1 ohms

                                          SC42 Pin 2 3.0 ohms
                                          SC42 Pin 6 .542 k

                                          1) I will check the ribbon cable. I have removed it several times. It does have a slight crease that I noticed when I first began testing a few weeks ago.

                                          2) Jumper has been removed.

                                          3) I would I go about testing the SC2 connector. I believe TW said to back probe. However, I just have regular multi-meter needles.

Thank you for your help and patience.

The guide is basic, its main goal is to show you how to use intel FIT,its highly recommended that you all follow the guide posted at win-raid

A video, software (intel FIT) and practice bios are all included. I`ll post a better video and more advanced guide at a later date.

                                            Hi:

i am trying to repair this Christmas lights from my parents. They are incandescent lights, no led lights.

I have tried with 12V a 24V small lights that I found in Aliexpress but is obvious that are not the right ones. They last microseconds connected. Do they blow because of Amps or Volts?

If I measure the Amps in the string........it's only 90mA. If I measure the Volts in the "green box"......it's between 0 and 190V, but doing a little bit of maths from the number of bulbs in series.......it's only about 6V per lamp.

                                            Could...

                                            Hello,

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2

This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...
