LG PDP50X2 plasma tv bad picture with full screen. BAD panel ???

    hello
this unit is having some strange problem :
there is a picture , but when there is a bright picture , the screen is separated into two halves . top and bottom .
from the top of each half there is noise spreading down the screen.

when there is a small picture on the screen , it is looking good.
I tried to calibrate voltages , and could make it better by raising the Vs ( and tweaking other voltages) but it never disappeared totally.

is this a bad panel ?

Looks like control board or motherboard to me, ran the test patterns ? Also the panels wont fail in that way at all so rule that out now. Also the image looks very grainy to me from the pictures is it ?

I would go with a Control board issue at first look....However, the test patterns should narrow it down..

        thanks for the reply

on that control board there is a connector P5 , (4 pin near the lvds connector)
is that the place to short for the test pattern?
if so , do you remember which pins to short ?

this is most of the control board .
the p5 connector is white color , on the right side. (next to p100)

I have noticed that when the problem occur , there is a different output wave at the Y-SUS output. (it's like when there is a black picture / no input)

do not know how to activate the internal test pattern.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
              by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Missing LCD Panel Voltages VGH, VGL, VCOM (TCL 55P6US Sound & Backlight but NO Picture)
              by maneatingmonkey
I have a TCL 55P6US with sound and backlight but no picture. This model does not have a T-CON board, and the right (rear perspective) panel board is fed from the left panel board. I have not been able to induce any change by disconnecting the secondary panel board or the tape cut-off method on the primary board.

There are a bunch of voltages missing on the panel boards. I can't find any shorted caps of the panel boards, and all of the missing voltage rails read in the kiloohms, which leads me to suspect the issue may lie on the circuit board, rather than a short in the panel.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
              by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
              by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Samsung plasma tv PN51F5300BF - jerky staticky picture on whole screen until warm up
              by Ollerenshaw
About 50% of time, on switching tv on, there is a jerky staticky picture over whole screen. After some seconds (variable, 5 to 20 seconds) picture suddenly becomes normal.
              Nothing appears abnormal inside.
I'm not a service technician. Main questions: Any ideas as to problem? Worth taking to repair technician? My skills would allow replacing a board but nothing more complicated.
              Photos and video attached.
              Thanks for any ideas....
