Vizio E422VA no sound (756TXBCB5K00903 Main Board)

This TV is perfectly working other than it has no sound. Main board in question is 756TXBCB5K00903.

There is no sound from any inputs.
I did complete TV reset to clear any previous settings.
Volume is up and not muted.
TV speakers are set to on.
No external speakers or headphones are connected.
I have applied 3V to the speakers, they are good.

I have tried using external speakers and headphones with no luck. When I use headphones, I made sure that TV speakers were off. I only hear slight white noise coming from headphones.

I have also noticed that the red SPDIF-out light on the main board is not on. With most TV's there is a red light coming from optical port, regardless if anything is connect to it or not.

I have zero experience in this type of issue, any ideas what I should check?

    Thanks

    by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
    by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

    by gavric
Hello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.

When tv powers on vizio V logo shows nice on whole screen. picture 1
When it goes into tv mode it only shows good picture on left side of screen, right is all scrabbled up. pic 2
When i start youtube picture shows on left side fine, right is all scrambled. pic 2
When i click video to start playing picture goes black(like when you change...
