    TV Firmware mod

Hi guys, has anyone ever tried to read those .bin dumps from tv eproms an extracting images, i.e. booting picture, menu layouts and stuff.
Wouldn't it be fun if you removed LG / Samsung boot picture and putting something like Cat memes and stuff

Did some firmware reversing ages ago using binwalk and stuff, will probably try to dump some eeproms and scout around

    Re: TV Firmware mod

Yes it is possible with Vestels, check out Vestel driver site they have mboots to which you can add images too only thing is you need to have a good understanding of Turk to read the site after that I would say getting the image on is easy enough. Just add it to the file and tell it to read that at first load.

I was going to have a play ages ago but just have not got the time to mess anymore

        Hello to everyone ,

        Ubiquiti firmware help. US-8-150W POE
        by gurj1979
        Hi guys.

I've got a Ubiquiti US-8-150W POE switch which has issues with updating the firmware.
Turned out to be a bad EEPROM chip. It would read the firmware and work as normal, but failed to write new firmware to it.

So I took off the chip and read on EEPROM and saved it. Wrote to old chip and failed to write
Got New chip and writes good.

        THE PROBLEM...
It fails to fully load the firmware, POE lights fail to work during g firmware test during load. I'm suspecting bad EEPROM Read.

Does anyone have a Good Firmware I can have?...

NP930XED Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro Laptop PD Firmware Loop
        by sikocan
        Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with a laptop that had a Type-C Port issue, specifically related to a PD (Power Delivery) controller problem. After replacing the damaged PD controller chip with a new one I purchased from AliExpress, the laptop now charges properly and negotiates power as expected, allowing the device to power up. I've replaced this chip twice just in case.

However, it seems that the laptop's BIOS is detecting an older version of the PD Firmware on the newly installed chip. As a result, it attempts...

        ME Firmware Cleaning Guide
        by SMDFlea
Here`s a quick ME Firmware cleaning guide.

The guide is basic, its main goal is to show you how to use intel FIT,its highly recommended that you all follow the guide posted at win-raid

(The attached FIT version is 11, if your ME Firmware (FW) is not 11.0.*.* follow the win-raid guide. Use the tools version for your ME FW, for example: ME System Tools v9.1 For systems running ME v9.0 - v9.1)

A video, software (intel FIT) and practice bios are all included. I`ll post a better video and more advanced guide at a later date.

        Vestel Firmware - Toshiba 32W133DN
        by anlu
Hello, i have an old Toshiba 32W1333DN (sorry, misspelled the headline) TV that had the standby led green/red flashing and no lightup problem, i repaired it by measure the led output as suspect led problem, i measured the LED:s one by one and found one bad led, i replaced the the led-straps and the TV works.

Now i need to update the software because the new rc "RM-L890" does not work and i think maybe it could be an firmware issue?, i have struggled to find it without any success because all of the links where invalid, i contacted Toshiba but they do not support this model...
