Panasonic Plasma SS Board question (TXNSS1SDUU50 / TNPA5623AB)

Hey everybody, I was wondering if somebody might be able to help me.

I am attempting to repair a Panasonic TH-P50UT50 plasma TV that broke due to arcing on the SS board.

I have replaced the failed components but ran into a problem when soldering the DG302 Transistor in the Q051 position. Essentially I had finished the job but when cleaning up the board I accidentally scraped away a fair chunk of the protective layers of the PCB with a toothpick - leaving a patch of exposed copper right next to my new sodder for "E" pin of the transistor.

So now I have a bridge from the "E" pin to the exposed part of the board that seems to flow out to ground (?). BUT from what I can tell from my board is that the "E" pin is supposed to be wired directly to ground anyway?

So I'm hoping that maybe somebody has an open TV lying around and would be able to test whether the Q051 transistor is actually wired to ground and I can leave the board as is without having to attempt a repair.

And if not if anybody knows how this pin should be wired.

I have included some photos to illustrate what I am talking about. The pin in question is marked with a red circle. And the purple represents the exposed area of copper that has been bridged to.

I have already tried to isolate the new sodder joint from the exposed copper by redoing the joint again but I couldn't get it to separate.

I would be so grateful if anybody was able to help me with this. Thanks so much.

Just in case anybody else needs this info. I can confirm that the "E" pin of the Q051 transistor is supposed to be wired to ground. Or at least that's what mine is doing and seems to work so far.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

          Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
          by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

          After all of...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
          by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...
