    LG 50LA6970 Audio Issues

I was using this TV as a computer monitor with HDMI Audio which sounded great without any issues. I decided to give this TV to my mom and when I hooked it up to the Samsung cable box the audio had a high pitched sound and cut out every 5 - 30 seconds. The original Sanyo Plasma TV that was hooked up to the same HDMI port had never experienced this issue. The LG 50LA6970 never had any issues on my PC.

I tried to google search this problem but I don't actually see any posts that are exactly the same. What could be wrong?

    Re: LG 50LA6970 Audio Issues

Try a few different HDMI cables, also try connecting different sources to the same device, then try different HDMI ports. I've seen sets that are extra sensitive to what type of source you have it connected to and what quality and length etc of HDMI cable used.Try resetting the the different devices or turning them off and on after changing HDMI cable.
If both of those sets worked before trying to switch them it sure sounds like either a bad HDMI cable or bad HDMI port , or they needed to be paired probably to each source or they don't like the HDMI cables you're trying to use.

Thanks for your reply. I will have to buy more HDMI cables. I hooked the TV back up to my computer and tested the HDMI ports and all of them work.

Seems like the cable box doesn't like that cable with the LG TV, but the cable works perfectly on the Sanyo Plasma TV. Rebooting the devices had no affect.

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
        by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

        Audio Issues - Realtek ALC3306 - Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14ARP8 - Type 83AX
        by SoulFreeze
Hi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).

After repairing the above issue, I realized the following remaining problem,
Sound only comes from bottom speakers, top palmrest speakers don't work. Neither does the headphone jack (static/buzzing).
The computer recognizes headphones are connected and displays a popup in windows
Sometimes, the computer will boot up and the sound will be working fine. However, if I run intensive programs and the computer...

        Pioneer lx 701 hdmi issues
        by Servicem4
My receiver pioneer LX 701 doesn't work anymore correctly The history:
6 month ago hdmi picture output didnt work anymore but music input through hdmi still worked.

Since some weeks even this doesn't work. Right Before this occured i heard a plopping noise from the receiver one evening.

The rest of the receiver works, I used spdif for sound input.

I now opened the receiver and hoped to find a blown fuse but all look good.

Any tips how to progress? Between 2 PCB there is something which looks like a blown cap....

Roland KR-3500/4500 Digital Piano. Crackling audio sound on all keys -Fixed
        by i_am_patch
Hi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). After extracting the main board from the shield, I replaced 7 Capacitors...
