    Panasonic SC Board repair problem.

    Hey guys ,

I need some help with repairing a TNPA5349.
I first used Norcal775 ( on youtube ) way of repairing the board using flux and a heatgun. Cleaned the board and reinstalled the IGBTS with flux. That ended with 4 or 5 bangs and almost all IGBTs and Diodes shorted. It scared the shit out of me haha.

I cleaned that board with acaton , might have shorted something? Aceton worked great with cleaning the board. I normally use 96% alcohol.

Anyways , i took another board with a 7 blink error and simply used the soldering iron , flux and 96% alcohol.
All went good and clean and turned the tv on. It stays on but i get this image on the screen. Distorted + half of screen is greyish
Its 100% a problem on the sc board but i cant find the problem and need some help.

    I replaced q401/402/421/422 and the 4 resistors.
    I also replaced ic502 and q531.

Are the buffers all gone or is this a voltage problem?

*I got a working SC board that works great in the same tv.

Nah don't worry , just use the instructions in this video.

I got 5 damaged SC boards that i got from a local tv shop. God knows what happened to them but im trying to repair them. Just seeking for advice as im almost there.
You probably just have shorted IGBT's , If not then try to see if you got shorted buffers. These boards had parts missing.

Don't only use the ground source for measuring buffers. There are small capacitors ( capacitor and diode , 3 or 4 of them ) close to the buffer chips. Use that as ground and measure the buffers , if you got a short then you know thats the problem. Took me a whole day to figure out my buffers were bad.

I watched NorCal on replacing the IGBT's. I already removed the shorted ones with my heat gun. Was waiting for the parts to cum.
After reading your post, I'm trying to decide if I should use my soldering iron to put themes ones on or th heat gun.

You do not test buffers to ground?find test point VFG and test with meter set to low ohms run across all ribbon contacts any found low are defective

Check the DG302 fet at the top it can also short some times and blow the board.

Re: Panasonic SC Board repair problem.

The board is not blown. It "works". All IGBTs and Diodes on THIS board are "fine". With fine i mean , its not measuring short.

By the way , its my very first time that i repair this particular board. This board on the pictures looked like a battlefield tbh.

Just removed the shorted parts. Looked for the missing parts as parts were missing. And cleaned up the board. Im already glad that it turns on , was a few hours work

All buffers ICs are tested to VFG (floating ground) you will find the test point on the SN board between Buffer IC4085 -IC4086

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
                    by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

Panasonic th-p50s10d - blinky red, SC board go boom
                    by dajoker
My old plasma died when one night recently. When I got to it it was giving a 3.3v sos (3 blinks).
I chased my way through the PSU, and a board, with no results.
Replacing a few bulged caps in the PSU, I eventually got to the SC board that had piles of shorts, a quick cheap replacement from china and the tv powers up again, except
I only have the right half of the picture.
                    Left half is completely blank.
now the c3 board running this side of the screen has its 3.3 and 5v onto the buffer ic and its got the 60v, so that all seems good.
                    all the other voltage rails...

Sony KDL-40Z4500 LCD with stripes and 9 blinks (possible BGC board or harness problem
                    by huj3r
                    Hi there!

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 which shows a colored vertical stripes pattern when turning on, with a central black shadow that slowly dissipates within the first 10 seconds.

Photo of the situation after the black shadow dissipates:

After this behavior the red LED will blink 9 times, then pause for a bit, and blink again 9 times, in a loop.

I checked the manual (available here) and this corresponds to "HFR error", quoting from the manual:

                    > This indicates HFR Communication error. [ HFR Communication...
