Replaced with two used T-cons. Still Sony TV is dead. Fuse F603 is open on my original board and last t-con board. Did not check on first t-con board. Pulled LDVS cable and code disappeared with all three t-con boards. Pulled both ribbon cables on t-con side with LDVS connected to t-con. I still got error on all three boards. Sent first board back. Thinking about using Coppell TV Repair to refurbish my original t-con board. Sending second t-con back for refund. Coppell TV does you-tube showing repaired working, send back if they think not repairable. Worried something in my TV is causing Fuse 603 to blow and my returned refurbished board will again have a problem. Is there anyway to isolate if the panel or BU board is bad also and maybe causing replacement t-con to go bad? Thanks Larry
I don't think you will get a "good result" from a sony with both cables from the tcon to panel disconnected. You need to only disconnect one at a time and see what the result is there after in terms of display and flash codes.... assuming, of course, that said fuse is good.

Fuse 603 is bad. Mine and replacement board had Fuse 603 bad.

Both tab bonding caps are tested good? What kind of resistance reading are you getting?

Tab bonding boards are the two boards where the two white ribbon cables from the T-CON attached to.

That is the board I am looking at, where are two bonding Caps on that board? Are you referring to all the smb Caps on the board?

See attached picture of the TAB BONDING BOARDS.
Also check the resistance between point 'A' and point 'B' on the T-CON board.'

Sony KD-75XF9005 grey Picture but Sound. TCON or panel?
                    by iglitare
                    Hi,

i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted...

LG 82UN8570AUD ~ TCON or PANEL?
                    by kca
                    Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

                    Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue
                    by thelankanguy
The TV shows a black screen with no image.
TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

Sony XBR-75X940E intermittent 6 blinks error code
                    by GoodCapDude
Hi everyone. First post on Badcaps!

I am trying to fix a Sony 940E from 2017 that either starts normally (and works perfectly until turned off) or goes straight to the 6 blinks error code without showing anything on the screen. It is frustrating to know that it can still work perfectly but is barely usable because of the difficulty starting it up. I am willing to try to short the BL_ERR but I would like to avoid that if possible. Does anyone have a view on this? Thanks a lot....
