First thread... Sorry if I'm not doing something correctly, please feel free to correct me - Toshiba Regza 52HL167 LCD TV flashing amber LED repeatedly. Tried updating firmware, but zero indications it would load. Pressing side panel power button results in power relays clicking several times then nothing after two or three clicks. Pulled TV rear cover off and zero signs of bad caps or resistors on any of the pcb's. Took a couple measurements using a flow chart from one of the online service manuals and its indicating a possible bad SYSCON which I believe may be on the AV pcb, but not sure. Documentation on this tv is sorely lacking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. August 2007 manufacture date.

Re: Toshiba Regza 52HL167 LCD TV flashing amber LED repeatedly
Was this ever figured out?
We just came across the same model with 3 amber flashes repeating continuously. So far we have been getting some oscillating voltages and an odd hissing sound from the power supply but I believe this might be due to a bad main board.
Will update our progress on this soon.Comment

Re: Toshiba Regza 52HL167 LCD TV flashing amber LED repeatedly
Ok well it looks like we have a bad power supply, but we actually also suspect a secondary issue. Unfortunately our customer does not want to proceed with the repair so we are not able to actually trouble shoot any further. Wish I could have been more helpful. SorryComment

Re: Toshiba Regza 52HL167 LCD TV flashing amber LED repeatedly
My problem turned out to be the main power supply board #75007521 v. B
Cost was $35 for online replacement part from openboxcity.net. Awesome web merchant by the way. Decent warranty on the board too. Went thru eBay and got a couple bad boards.Comment

by STKR123As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.
As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.
There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,... -

by H34TORecently I've gotten into EC flashing due to my broken laptop(s) and started frantically searching methods for flashing the IT5571E-128 chip on the cheap(due to me beaing a student and not having a job) and noticed that ITE newer chips can be flashed via ISP (In-System Programming) either via SMBus or the KBC (EPP - Enhanced Parallel Port) interface. While these can be achieved with programmers like SVOD4/3 or the RT809H/F those options are WAYYY out of my budget so I was horrified. But recently I stumbled uppon some programmers on aliexpress that claim they can program a variety of ITE chips...06-17-2025, 07:17 AM

Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
