    47ln5400 No Picture

I have back lights. I have sound. I do not have picture. I am trying to figure out if its a input board problem or a t-con board problem.
    ground -6
    12v is 12.1
    12v is 12.1
    ground is -6
    24v is 24.2
    3.5v is 3.5
    3.5v is 3.5
    pwr on is 3.8

With the t-con connected correctly i have back lights but no picture. If I unhook the right half of the t-con I get lines down half the screen. if I unhook the left side no change.

    How to test from here?

Is it possible the tv could have water damage? Maybe the screen was sprayed with a cleaner that leaked to the bottom and corroded the ribbon contacts on the LCD panel??

I had a Samsung that had a shorted board to the screen. I don't remember the name of the boards bonded to the screen tabs. It acted very similar.

          $10 t-con board give it a shot.

If you're getting sound from a program/channel, then there is traceable video. Use a scope and check for video going into the T-con, and then from T-con to panel. If you have a good video signal, then you have a bad panel.
Also check for voltage on the T-con and/or open circuit board fuse

Sorry, I am not that fancy. I don't even know what you mean by scope it. I did try a second t-con board with the exact same results. I will be taking apart the panel tonight and trying to figure out the short on the lower boards and posting pictures.

FIXED!!! The lower board had a bad component on it. It was shorting out the entire board. I checked continunity across the board and there was a short. I started at the beginning and removed the first component and that ended the short. I replaced it with a similar one from another damaged board. My solder job isn't the best but it worked. This was the right side board from the front or the left from the back. If only this side was connected it would black screen the entire picture. The other side if only connected would produce only lines.
