Newbee here. How do you test the bad LEDs after removing the panel? I have the same Vizio but a slightly different power board than OP and in shopjimmy videos (I have 0500-0605-0270) and confirmed with flashlight that my LEDs are not turning on. It is still possible the power board component went bad but I could not see any obvious signs or cracked solder. Thanks.

Also after finding bad LEDs, where can I buy locally these (frys, etc). I see 10 LEDs for $9 on ebay but if I can find locally it would complete job lot sooner. Thanks.

Hello to All!

I'm a newbie here so am posting my first REPLY in order to get previldges (how one spells that word is beyond me!).

Anyways, I am just beginning to troubleshoot a E470I-A0 that wants to turn on but doesn't . The VISIO emblem displays briefly (less than a sec), then the NO SIGNAL blinks on a bit later briefly (again less than a sec). This continues until I unplug it. I will repost this info later and hope someone can help.

A "flash" usually indicates a bad LED(s). The PS has to apply power to the strings in order to detect excess current (which indicates burned out LEDs).
