    Sharp LC-70LE640U weird screen issues

This is listed for sale in my city for $100.
They say the screen is having problems and seems to refresh slowly.

Second picture. I don't know if it's a panel problem or eeprom? T-con?

my guess its the "standard panel / tab" issue. The tabs on one side are causing issues. They can be removed and the set will operate normally in a "saved" fashion.

        That's what I thought. I'll pass. Thanks.

I think you misunderstood. The set can be "repaired" for $0 by removing the tabs on the appropriate side. A steal for $100 imho.

No, I understood. I've read the long thread on the 70" vizio but it seems in the past week there have been two posts now saying that that fix finally didn't last.

I also have played with a 70" vizio a few weeks ago and performed the repair however in my panel, I think the owner had run the set for hours and hours with the panel being bad and may have affected both sides. When we first got the set we had the classic no picture. And after removing the tabs on one of the sides we had picture but very poor quality. It isin't always a slam dunk, but a fun project for sure. If you don't have a spare $100 to loose then I wouldn't do it due to risk but if you do it is worth it.

It's already gone. That day I posted it was gone.
