52" RCA CRT Rear Proj ITC222 or ITC222a

Have an ITC222a that i replaced the blue tube on, now doing the convergence is making me go mad. autoconvergence does nothing, i can move the red and blue crossairs but when i go into service menu to do the 3x3, 5x5 or 15x13 i can get as far as selecting "alignment" and the screen goes black(where it should bring up the crosshatch pattern for me to adjust. if i hit "clear" on the remote it brings me back to store it like its suppose to, but i cant get the crosshatch to come up. anyone have this issue?

This manual is from a Thomson 52" ptv.
OK button should activate the grid pattern.

also i can go to the video section in the menu and load up all the screen pattern templates and those show up fine, but soon as i go to the alignment and press OK it goes black screen where it should show the grid with the blinking square over the section i want to adjust. just nothing there at all

yes i have this manual as well, but it doesnt say anything about what could be causing the screen to be going blank (other than im assuming the software on the SSB) it just tells how to do the alignment which i have done on many other chassis just like this but never had one just come up with a blank screen where the crosshatch pattern is suppose to be damn rca

yes it does have the sensors for calibration, they seem to be working but i cant store anything without fixing the convergence first

well replacing the SSB took care of that. 4 hours later of geometry adjustments and the fun game of crosshair lineup it came out nicely. btw replacement ssb was only $45 on ebay cant believe they still have parts of these sets on there
