    VIALI V32LEDF 31.5in (80cm) full HD LCD TV- Slow Startup

    HI Badcaps from Australia,
    I have a VIALI V32LEDF 31.5in (80cm) full HD LCD TV, only 2 1/2 years old and has developed the problem of slow start up.
    I turn on the TV at the mains power wall point and the TV panel power red light immediately comes on solid.
    There is no response to pressing the standby/power-on button on the remote or on the side panel buttons. So it then takes up to 70mins before it will respond to the standby/power-on button and then the TV panel power red light changes to solid blue, but there is no video display or sound. It then takes anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours before the startup screen and Viali Logo bursts into life and the TV operates and works perfectly in every way, until I turn it off again.
    The remote is unresponsive during this extended 3-6 hrs startup period and the only way to turn off the TV is to turn off at the mains power wall point.

    I have read the posts extensively on your Badcaps site and so went looking for bad capacitors or burn outs on the power board. Nothing obvious was found, but I replaced the 14 electrolytic capacitors on the power board ( I am good with a soldering iron, have strong IT background). The capacitors I replaced, I marked with a red cross on the attached pic of an identical shopjimmys board. No change to the slow start up was observed yet.
    I eventually found a chinese manual on the net that described the pin assignments of the power board. So with the back panel off the TV and all plugs and boards still in situ and power turned on ( 240V), I have measured all the volts of the outputs from the powerboard.
    Please see attached PowerboardVoltsMeasured.JPG file for results.

    So if it appears that the power board is producing voltage ( are the measured volts OK ? ) to the Video/main board and if the Processor and the Infrared remote receiver module draw power from the video/main board. To me it just looks like the Infrared remote receiver module is not being fully powered immediately and or the video/main board is not initiating the startup sequence immediately and maybe not processing the input from the Infrared remote receiver module.
    Should I now start replacing all the electrolytic capacitors on the video/main board?

    Power board = Aoyuan AY075D-4SF04 3BS0027014
    Video/Main board = T.MSD306.69A 12023
    LED Driver board = CMO T87D106.00
    I have attached pics of these boards also.

    Any assistance, thoughts or direction to pursue would be great appreciated, I live out in the country on a rural acreage property (yes have many Wallabies(roos) lol). I don't really want to trash the TV as it is an excellent TV and not even 3 years old. Just happens to have some cheap rubbish components LOL.
    Many thanks from down under !

    It certianly looks as though the power supply is fine so I think you need to turn your attention to the main board. Check the voltages on the voltage regulator pins and see if there's a problem.

    Edit
    What is the part number on U3 & U8 since it appears that one of the problems with this board is the EEprom.

      Heat up the main board with a hair dryer until everything is nice and warm, but not that hot that you burn yourself, then turn the TV on. See what happens...

        Common issue is the Spi flash Ic which contains the firmware corrupting. Freezing it will help the Tv boot if its at fault so try freezing U8 and see if the Tv starts faster.

          Thanks very much to Dick Barton, CapLeaker, and ReeceyBurger123 for your suggestions.
          I'll come back to you in a day or two with part number of U3 & U8 and results of heating with hairdryer, after i pull the back off the TV again. I'll have to drive to the nearest big town to get a can of Freezing areosol. Cheers and thanks.

            to freeze the flash get a can of air upside down. Freeze the flash IC first, turn on the TV. If it doesn't make a diff, heat up the whole main board, then turn the TV on.

              HI Dick Barton, CapLeaker, and ReeceyBurger123.
              The voltages of the 3 regulators are as follows
              U2
              1117B -> line 1 of the IC
              33 632k -> line 2 of the IC
              Pin 1 = 00.3
              Pin 2 = 3.323
              Pin 3 = 4.97

              U5
              1117B -> line 1 of the IC
              33 632k -> line 2 of the IC
              Pin 1 = 00.3
              Pin 2 = 3.327
              Pin 3 = 4.95

              UT1
              1117B -> line 1 of the IC
              33 632k -> line 2 of the IC
              Pin 1 = 00.3
              Pin 2 = 3.311
              Pin 3 = 4.95

              The part numbers of U3 & U8 are
              U3 = AIC2857F (line 1 of the IC)
              GR8 08526 (line 2 of the IC)

              U8 = Winbond (line 1 of the IC)
              25Q32FVSIG (line 2 of the IC)
              1221 (line 3 of the IC)

              Slowly heating up the Main Video board did not produce any change in startup behaviour, nor did heating the power board and the whole back of TV panel in general.
              I haven't done the freezing test yet as it will have to Wait until I drive into the nearest big town and buy a can of freeze.

              Do the voltages look OK to you ??
              Regards

                Voltages look fine, try freezing U8 see if anything happens.

                  U8 = Winbond 25Q32FVSIG

                  U8 is the SPI chip that often needs top be replaced.

                    While waiting to purchase freezer you could heat up the main board with a hair dryer as suggested by CapLeaker but not to a temperature that's to hot to touch and see if this speeds things up.
