at D523(K)is high and the error is still present.I unsoldered D523 and checked
the voltage at D523(K) and it is178v.Comment

Re: Sony KV25fs150 with retrace lines.
The B+ supplied by the power supply should be around +135-140 volts, it then goes through R5020 and supplies the horz. section, If the voltage drop across R5020 is too great it will trip the ocp.
What is the voltage on the junction of R5020 and R5021
and what is the voltage at the junction of R5020 and D548 (I think it should be around +135 volts)
I remember that on the KV-27fs100's I changed a lot of shorted D517 and D518 diodes, but I cant remember if there was a raster on the screen when one of them shorted, You might want to check them just in case.
Another thing to check that might be shorted would be the Pin amp fet Q505Last edited by R_J; 04-20-2016, 12:59 PM.Comment

Re: Sony KV25fs150 with retrace lines.
Hello,
Just had a reply from a colleague of mine who was in the repair business for many years. Hope this helps.
Only just seen your message after getting back from Scotland last night. Anyway, the model no. seems to be a Sony. I can't see it being a line driver fault, because line drive is used to create the line scan and the EHT. A fault with that would give you no raster at all, but you have what looks like excessive raster with flyback lines. That would suggest a problem in the video drives or beam limiter circuit, as the CRT guns are being driven too hard, with too low a voltage at the RGB output collectors, possibly with too high a voltage at the bases, which drive the collector voltages down. Have you got a service manual? You will need to know what voltages to expect at the video collectors, which couple to the CRT cathodes. Low cathode voltages mean high currents through the CRT, hence excess brightness as you've got there etc. Hope that gives you a lead. Cheers.Last edited by dick_barton; 04-21-2016, 07:32 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Sony KV25fs150 with retrace lines.
hallo
if you want to repair your tv please measure these voltages on screen board :
KR
KG
KB
G2 SCREEN VOLTAGE
ONLY
after your measurements we can begin good repair .
thanksComment

Re: Sony KV25fs150 with retrace lines.
Likely a shorted vertical output ic, sometimes the ic's connections are bad and that eventually takes out the ic. Also check for an open R562 (0.47Ω) located off pin 9 of the high voltage transformerLast edited by R_J; 01-03-2022, 03:23 PM.Comment

by kralgHi, I am trying to save my old monitor once I was so proud of. I hope there are still some people around with experience.
Symptoms: overbrightness and visible retrace lines. When full white image is displayed, the monitors shuts off with flashing yellow.
I have read previous threads and posts with similar issue, but none of the solutions can be applied to my monitor. According to them I need to suspect the G2 voltage as the issue.
I attached the page of the A board schematic. In my case the G2 voltage supply coming from the flyback transformer is supposed...-

First. it has no picture at all. i solved it by covering the ckv lines using tape to to block the connections
Second. now has picture but with vertical lines that follow the image. tcon board ic overheating
tried blocking LC lines too, but same results
is it lcd panel issue or tcon board issue?... -
by ggil44Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

by ChrissygizmoHello again everyone,
This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…
I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried... -
by noisykid5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...
