    Sanyo DP50710 won't turn on.

I have a Sanyo DP50710 that won't turn on. When i plug it in and hit the power button the green light comes on, relays click in the power supply and then it powers down and the green light goes off. Press power again and the same routine. Press it a third time, same thing. Beyond that, pressing the power button yields nothing. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get the power supply clicking again. And so it goes. The unit does have a Panasonic sticker inside. I'm trying to isolate it to the board and not the component level.(i'm not that skilled) Any help in diagnosing the TV would be much appreciated. Where should i start?
    Thanks.

Re: Sanyo DP50710 won't turn on.

On the mainboard you see little white stars, with voltages written beside it.Those are test points. You will probably find the 13 volts for the audio driver to be very low.
pin 48 from the mainchip lcb7f will show low voltage I'm guessing(for it to do the shutdown.)
I would measure those test points as a start. Like I said, often it's the 13 volt for audio that goes bad.

Watch this video,it will help you greatly.Even tho your mainboard has a different 13 volt chip.

Re: Sanyo DP50710 won't turn on.

Thanks so much for the info and video link. I was able to determine that the 13V audio test point is showing no voltage when I attempt to power up. All other test points would jump to the correct voltage and then the relay clicks and shuts power off. One pin was at 5V even with the supply off. After watching the video, it seemed he isolated the bad component (chip) and replaced it. The board in the video is very similar to the one in my Sanyo but when i looked, on my board, for the IC that he replaced there was an empty board. The board in my unit has a provision for the chip but it's not there. Does anyone know where or if there is a chip that regulates the 13V and where it is on the board or is it regulated with diodes and resistor circuits? I'm very much a novice at this stuff so thanks for the help.

        PS3 CECHC03 60GB YLOD Troubleshooting

I have a post on psx-place for this but thought I'd try here as well in case anyone has experience or the schematics or any kind of help. Here's the original post from psx-place:

Hi, so I bought a YLOD Fat PS3 as I wanted a repair project and thought it would be a good way to get experience. I was able to solder to the RX, TX and Diag pads on the COK-002 motherboard and was able to get external access and retrieved the codes. I haven't powered it on beforehand so these should be the last ones. I did try to get internal access immediately after but kept getting scopen response...

Acer Aspire 4520 won't turn on after reboot
        by robante15
Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

        If I remove the...

This tv has will not turn on. I unplugged ribbon cable (c5n01) going to mainboard and still no backlights. I unplugged led connection (cn1401,cn1201,cn1101) and check with a backlight tester and each set came on. Im thinking PSU is bad.

PSU Power test with mainboard unplugged and led plugged up.

check from ground to each point on cn501 connection:

EVGA 430W PSU Correct voltages but computer won't turn on
        by objecttothis
I had a desktop form factor mini-server die on me a few weeks ago. Through my initial diagnostics, I was convinced it was the motherboard because when I shorted the Green wire on the ATX connecter, the multimeter gave me all the correct voltages on the various pins of the ATX connector and 5VSTB was also correct. To my surprise the replacement motherboard wouldn't turn on with the case power button either. I threw in another PSU and it turned on right away. This is an 80 Plus EVGA 430W PSU with PN:100-W1-0430. I pulled the cover off and don't see any immediately obvious blown caps or scorch...
