    JVC Viera LT48N530 LED query

    Hi Guys,

I would like to ask if the LED's used in the various makes are the same? Can I use the individual LED's out of this JVC to repair another make television??
This ones' panel is buggered, so will be stripping it down. See Photo.

Do you mean the backlight LEDs? Maybe, it depends on what LEDs are used in the TV you're trying to fix. However, with some modification it may be possible to make it work, even if they're a bit different. Again, it depends on the TV that you're trying to fix.
P.S. I'm no expert on backlight repair, so you might want to wait for a second opinion.

Thanks reaper57, I did mean the backlight LED's. Recently made a repair to a Led backlight by using an 1N4148 diode in place of the LED, and now feel a bit guilty (set now has 65 LED's instead of 66). My reckoning was that the 0.6v drop across the junction of a IN4148 would be equal to the drop across the LED junction? and only a fraction less illumination. Hope to get clarification.

If its a full array type Led Tv yes, you can do the stacking method of repair to replace the faulty one.

Thanks Reecey, I will have to swat up on different types of Led drives/supplies. Maybe you could direct me, cant remember having seen this on Badcaps tutorials? And by stacking do you mean diode in place of Led?

Watch my youtube video, shows how to do that method:

              Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

So I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.

When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it...

              Replacing Mode Indicator LEDs
              by VitalComputing
              Hi all,

I have what should be a simple job but is causing me issues. There are three LEDs (yellow, green and red) on the indicator panel of a solar PWM controller and these have broken off. I need to replace them but I am unsure of the voltage drop across these. I don't want to replace with random LEDs in case they blow.

I took one of the LEDs out of circuit, put 19V across it with a 500 ohm resistor in series and there is a drop of about 13V across the LED, and this seems to increase as I increase the input voltage.

I thought I could just put a resistor...

just a quick question do all qled leds appear blue when fault finding ?
              by jimbofz
i have replaced many leds strips that have changed blue when they are worn
and the new replacements are perfect white
but when fault finding do quantum leds always look blue?

              LEDs for TV Backligth
              by Quantum IC
              Hello everyone
I'm new to LED strip LED replacement.
The original LED comes with a single internal LED or chip. I only get at the moment LEDs with two internal LEDs or chips.
I understand that this is due to the tone of the light they emit.
              My Doubt is:
Can I use the LED with two internal chips without problem?
Will there be much difference in the picture?
I'm going to replace all the LEDs.
Both LEDs (original and replacement) are 3V and the same size....
