    LN32C530 service mode

Hi guys, how do I get into service mode? I tried INFO MENU MUTE POWER ON and the 182 POWER ON option. Doesn't work.

The problem is the TV sometimes doesn't turn on, 24V will be turned on but not backlight command or PWM to inverter. The PSU is 100% working, DC voltages are nice and clean.

The net is full of people saying yeah change the little EEPROM on the mainboard or reset it. I understand how resetting it to default values from another memory location would work (via the service menu)
I don't understand how shorting the data or clock lines of the eeprom would erase its data??

Then some people say a new chip would need to be programed with an external flasher.
So far many contradicting and confusing information.

    Can anybody enlighten me please?

That doesn't work for this TV. I tried pressing them in different speeds, from normal to as fast as possible. Just turns on the TV (when it turns it on)

No. That's the first things I check of course. It's not that code for this TV.

There was a previous post in the forum you my find useful. Says he was able to purchase the EEprom quite cheaply directly from Samsung.

Yep, it wasn't clear though how to put the data in there. Is it stored somewhere in a PROM of a uC and then just loaded into the eeprom with default values? I don't know. Nowhere do I find clear information on what's going on.

Still not able to get into service mode BUT ... :-D

My TV was sometimes turning on, usually the first two times after an extended OFF period.
I went to the Samsung Firmware update website and updated the firmware from 1002 to 2006 and voila, problem solved!

So i got this tv from my neighbor, when it wasn't working right for him,, he purchased another tv and gave his old to me.
the color is all outa wack, like the settings have been corupted,
I've already done a firmware search using the wifi connection update from the tv and it didn't find any new update so it's got the most recent version.

                      so
The issue is i can't get into service mode or factory mode, tried resetiing it from user mode and it didn't change anything.

The tv is stuck in service mode, i have unpluged it for several times, tryed to power it separate from remote , tryed some reset method using menu button and 4725 typed twice in a row to enter or disable the service mode but it didn't work. The board has no damaged components, could it need a fresh firmware or the emmc could be dead?...

                      Dear All,

FAFO is the correct definition of what happened with my Samsung UN70RU7100K TV, I was trying to change the region to enable samsung plus using the service mode, entered the mode mute 1 8 2 pwr, and started to dig in. Did some changes while having digital TV signal in the back instead of doing it in HDMI standby mode, I remember changing to a region different then mine but also had a different tuner $%&!. After rebooting the TV, it was all gone, now it shows the splash image and then no image at all. If i disconnect the lan cable from the back, a message is shown in the...

Stubborn GIGABYTE B365M AORUS ELITE - main PCIe x16 GPU port working only in x8 width mode
                      by DynaxSC
                      Hi,

I have this board, where I have exchanged the LGA1151 socket. During testing I discovered, that the large PCIEX16 slot won't by no force work in x16 mode, but keeps to work in x8 mode only.
I tested this with GPU-Z, also with Render Test (but tried also Furmark and Heaven Benchmark - no effect).
Tested on Core i5-9600K as well as on an Pentium G5420 and MSI NVIDIA GTX1070 and 2 other cards, including RTX3060Ti.
Board architecture definitely allows x16 mode, as all 16 PCIe lanes are present between CPU and main GPU slot (nearest to CPU).
