    60PV450 bad YSUS?

Hey all! I have a LG 60PV450 Plasma that stopped working.

When you turn it on it clicks a few times, the red light comes on. Then it goes off. No video during this. The YSUS is also making a buzzing noise.

I took the back off and tested a few things. If the YSUS is plugged into the power board, the voltages are not correct on VS-TP and VA-TP. BUT if I unplug the YSUS from the power board the voltages are good and stay on.

The fuse on the YSUS was out so I re soldered another fuse (same fuse part) on but it still buzzes and no video.

I also tried the test pattern by putting a paper clip in the 2 little holes on the control board and unplugging the blue ribbon cable. I got no test pattern.

If the YSUS is bad would you get no test pattern no matter what?

Also I tested the Y buffers for shorts and did not find any.

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

Hi have you tried unplugging the top buffer and seeing it comes on with lower screen image ?

I had a similar tv with buzzing coming from the YSUS. It was a crack on the panel. If you get the voltages with YSUS removed, its most likely the YSUS, or possibly a buffer board.

I took out both Y buffers and same thing. When the YSUS is plugged into the power board the voltages are wrong on VS-TP and VA-TP and buzzing on the YSUS. When I unplug it the voltages on VS-TP and VA-TP are good but no video either way.

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
            by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
            The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

Hisense stuck in Colors cycle like test pattern.
            by nono34
            Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

            Hello all,
I got this beauty of a 65" Android Smart TV from a roommate whose boss through it out because it didn't work. I've fixed a few TVs before, but was being stupid on this one:

            Original issue:
TV powered down after a minute or so, but picture was fine.
Tried replacing main board, which didn't work. I should have just replaced the AC Power board.

Months later, I replaced the power board, so I can see the screen. I lost / threw out my original main board, and there is now what I believe to be a defective main board in the TV. My symptoms...

How Can I test PWM DM0365R?
            by chth96
            Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....

            Intermittent color test pattern issue.
            by Jeryswan
I've got a LN-T4065F which came into my shop with the customer complaining that the test patterns would randomly come up on the screen. Upon testing, the pattern came up on the screen after about 20 minutes of use. We opened it up and did a visual inspection to see if there was any dust or bugs shorting out anything on the board that would generate the test patterns. I'm a bit new to TV repair but on a plasma tv that we recently worked on we strapped out the auto ext on the control board and it generated test patterns on the screen. My thoughts was that maybe something was shorting out that circuit.......
