russellhearn69, that's great you got it going. Can you point us to where you found the software in the end? Did it come from the toshiba website or did you find it somewhere else? Some of us are collecting the software so always useful to find new sources.

Also do let us know if the fix holds.

            Someone beat me to it!
I didn't know I could upload the file here,I was under the impression only links worked!.
A curious problem can occur I have noticed after flashing the firmware-that's a random blinking problem,as if the firmware is corrupt again...not got to the bottom of that one yet..

Look what I said further up, I asked if it fails again in a few days, I have had this issue so many fucking times. It works for a day or two then the firmware fails again however after reflashing it again after it broke down it will work for a good while. Im unsure why maybe Bud or Tom has an idea.

Could it be the actual eeprom chip is faulty if your using the old one that is.

Im starting to think that's the case for these Mb95 board, the SPI IC needs removing, and a new one needs to be completely reflashed and installed for these boards. The 17mb82 normally work fine and don't need a new IC from the ones I have done.

there are other way with Toshiba to clean install firmware.

1-rename mb90_en.bin to mb90_WOAP.bin and let it alone on root USB and start it with Tv for 2 minute. this WOAP are clean eprom and keep its partion. ( TV WILL NOT show any on screen, it may only TOSHIBA Logo if its there at firmware.
2- rename back mb90_WOAP.bin to mb90_en.bin and put the mboot.bin with and Flash them.

this method can be used also for the last generation of Toshiba 3D TV.

Do you mean the SPI or the NAND needs replacing? SPI has the mboot and NAND the main software. I thought it was mainly the NAND that was corrupting?

                        Just a little update......
Well i thought i was doing fine with flashing the firmware as the tv work flawlessly untill the other night when it decided to bugger up again but after flashing the firmware again it's working again, so it looks like there is something else that is causing the firmware to fail

                          Worth a try
                          A common issue,as many will know,is firmware corruption on these,and it's variants.
After flashing, you may find that when cold,it will revert to the dreaded blinking light scenario. Many have suggested it's a worn-out flash chip-This is not the case. Its caused by a Multilayer ceramic cap, fitted above C137,directly above the letter C.simply remove it.
                          Problem solved
