    toshiba 40L1333b 17MB95s-1

I'm hoping that i can find a bit of help with my problem as i ha been all over the internet and can't seem to find anything that works.

I have read through this forum and i have followed all the instuction that i have found but still have had no joy.

I'm getting the dreaded slow flashing red/green light and the tv won't turn on so I'm trying to do the firmware update using the method of holding the OK key on the remote but i just get rapid blinking of the green/red led and nothing else happens, i downloaded the firmware from toshiba but it only gave me 1 file (upgrade_mb90.bin) so i was mising the, usb_auto_update_A1.txt which i got from another members post (27070712_MB95_OEM_MO_V224t_SVN_110213_ENV_GEN_256.xls)
I commented out the mboot.bid as recomended by tom66 but still getting nothing.

As stated in the title my TV is a Toshiba 40L1333b with the main board being 17MB95s-1

Please help me as i'm cracking up!!!!!!!

Its not wanting to accept the core folders, try freezing the spi flash Ics then rebooting firmware if that fails your have not got the files correct. I hate it when these Vestels do that such a nightmare to fix !

The usb_auto_update_A1.txt file usually has the update file as mb90_en.bin. Did you try renaming the upgrade_mb90.bin file to mb90_en.bin or changing the name in the txt file?

i did try that earlier and nothing happened however i just tried it again and the tv done something.
held the ok button and i got the rapid flashing red/green and it was reading from the usb but only for about 10 second and then stopped reading the usb and the red/green light just keeps flashing

                Re: toshiba 40L1333b 17MB95s-1

It reads the file from the usb into memory first, then it writes it to the nand chip which can take a little while. It should eventually restart on its own. The thing is the update script may not match exactly the structure of the bin file you're using in which case it won't work. Can you put the usb_auto_update_A1.txt file you're using up here as an attachment so I can take a look?

just found a different usb_auto_update_A1.text file that is slightly different, would it make much difference if i was to try it?

Its upside down because you have it set to the VES400 panel which uses a LSC400HM08 screen, your model of Tv uses a LTA400HM23 screen so you need to get the software for that screen not the one its set up for now.
