BN44-00264A board reinstall question - black strip is off too

    Hi,
It looks like I improperly removed my BN44-00264A board.
I also removed the black strip to the right edge of the board.
I was supposed to pull the BN44-00264A board out of the black strip, but I took the black strip off too.
The black strip has a number of blocks that reach into the steel back wall and clip onto these wire like things.
Looks like this powers the lighting on the Samsung TV. Just a guess.
Well when I put the black strip back on, the clips don't clip, they just push the wires down a bit. They move.

Can someone please help me with instructions on how to reinstall the black strip?
I'm thinking I need to get to the other side of the steel wall to push them back on one at a time, but I don't know how to do that or even if it is necessary.

By the way, I repaired my BN44-00264A by replacing two transistors (QI820, 821) and a capacitor (CI892 cap was probably not bad though) and the fuse FM802S.
I am optimistic that the board is fixed, but I need some help please to put the black strip back on.

Yes,that black strip is whats holding the light tubes in place on the other side of that metal wall. They are now loose on that end so careful handling of tv is recommended.
You will need to disassemble the panel to get to the light tubes to reinsert them into the black strip.

Those wires you mention are the ends of the bulbs inside the panel. Be careful that you don't break them.

        Hello martino and johnboy1313!
        Thank you for the replies!
Is there any procedure you might be able to show me for how to disassemble the panel to get to the light tubes?
Even if you only have a rough guide to tell me from your memory, that would help greatly.
        Thank you anyway.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
            by ttmi100x
            Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

            Upon closer inspection...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
            by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
            • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
            • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
