Calling all Plasma TV Experts, LG 50PG25 Problems

I picked up this LG Plasma TV LG 50PG25 (50PG60-UA) for free from a good friend who had thrown it away because the lower part of the screen had a bit of a "jitter" in it. Not really enough to make it un-viewable, but, well, he is richer and pickier then me.

Anyway, I have this job where I do patrol work in the deep ghetto, where they love to steal big screens so I took it to work. I live there half the week so I thought that it would be a great addition to my office to watch videos, Internet programming and DVDs off my Panasonic CF-31 Toughbook, that I have upgraded a bit...

So, at first, it works pretty good when it get warm, but the picture will gradually become quite grainy and color distorted. I made a video of this, and would like you to take a look to give me your opinions on which board(s) are the most likely to be bad.

I have my own pet theories from what I have been able to learn in the last few weeks, but am not ready to spend money without some more learned opinions.

    So, what do you think?

Guys I have got 73 views and no one has a clue? Is the problem that perplexing, or have I failed to provide enough info for anyone to offer a theory.

Well...seeing the video with the still and seeing how GOOD it looks...that just about RULES out ANY scan board issue---I would think.

SO...I would have to say a signal board issue...UNLESS..you are getting a dirty suppl of some sort to the signal board...but I CANNOT see how that would not effect it in ANY mode... ALMOST looks like it cannot "sync" with the video... chroma-- wise especially.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate RCA2000! But, you are going to dumb in down for me a bit, this is my first dance with bigscreens. Which boards are you suggesting, the "main board" with the A/V, HDMI, RCA and S-Video jacks?

I was kind of thinking that it was the S-Board....

If it seems like the picture is getting grainy as the tv warms up, it is possible that you have a cracked solder joint somewhere on an inductor possibly either Y or Z sustain. Check the back side of those for cracked joints.

Yep, that is exactly what it does, but because of this inability to handle a moving image I am thinking now that it is more then one problem. : (

            THANKS!
