    Panasonic TX-L42B6B Mystery/Misery

Hello everyone. I’m hoping someone out there can help me with my Panasonic TX-L42B6B LED TV.

    Initial Problem
When powered up, the unit showed the initiating flashing green LED and then turned off with a single intermittent red flashing LED.

Before reading up on blink codes (sorry!) I took these steps to try and fix…

    Changed the Power board:
    Problem is the same

    Changed the Main Board:
Interestingly the TV didn’t turn off this time, it stayed on and after shining a light on the ‘blank’ screen I could make out the ‘No Signal’ graphic.
This new board was taken from a Panasonic TX-L50B6B model but the part numbers are identical so at the time I thought nothing of it.

    Changed the LED Inverter Board:
Backlight flashed several times with and the panel displayed the ‘No Signal’ graphic and then the unit turned off again, with the single red LED blink code as before.

From reading up on this and other forums, the single blink code is either A board or panel. I find it interesting that the main board swap and inverter swap had such varying results.

If anyone has any ideas or has experienced similar, please let me know. I’m hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and if it happens to be a backlight - even better!

    Thanks so much.
    Nick
